Make for the Border!

Hello, folks! Happy Wednesday! We have a super fun new challenge this week! We are Running for the Border on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog this week! That's right, we want to see you use border stamps, border dies, create a border.... however you interpret the challenge, as long as it is AWESOME, of course! The Design Team is featuring Memory Box products this week. I pulled out this SUPER cute bow and string border die to create my card. I kind of love it. Kind of lots, actually.

I don't normally do horizontal cards, so that was an extra bit of challenge for me, but I love how this turned out. I used Lawn Fawn plaid paper to create the look of a wrapped gift and then stamped the border strip with HB2U using Lawn Fawn Milo's ABC's.

Oh, SNAP! It's Anything Goes!

Hello, friends! Guess what?! It's ANYTHING GOES week! I know, I know! It's your favorite!!! The Design Team is playing with Memory Box products this week. If you've got some, we'd love to see what you do with them, but you don't have to use them to play along. We just want to see your AWESOME!

I pulled out the Memory Box Lobster die (I just LOVE HIM!) along with the Pinpoint Rectangles to create a CAS design with a bit of sparkle! I covered my blue lobster (yes, they are a real thing) with the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle brush pen in blue. Umm.... I am in LOVE with these brush pens! They are SO super sparkly!!!

Look at that sparkle! It makes me happy. It really does. I grabbed the perfect sentiment from the Paper Smooches We Totally Click stamp set. It's punny. I couldn't even help it!

Hello, friends! We have an exciting new challenge for you on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! This week we challenge you to create a CAS Christmas card. The Design Team is showcasing Memory Box products. You don't have to use them, but if you have some we would love to see how you rock them on your cards!



I pulled out two awesome Memory Box dies that aren't necessarily in the 'Christmas' category, but they were totally perfect together for an awesome holiday card! I used watercolor paints to add the color and then stamped the holly and the additional sentiment from a CAS-ual Fridays Stamps set that I LOVE! Speaking of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, the new release is now available in the Simon Says Stamp Store! You won't want to miss out on this one,  you guys! It is AWESOME!

Furry Friends!

You GUYS!!!!! This week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge couldn't be more perfect! It's a FURRY FRIENDS challenge! If you saw my post yesterday, you know that I have a brand new furry friend in my house. And because of that sweet little girl, I don't think my Butter Pecan Ice Cream flavored Coffee is going to be enough this morning, BUT, that's okay. Because she is great. And learning. And I love her to pieces. We are featuring Newton's Nook Design Stamps today. If you like animals, Newton's Nook is a GREAT company to check out! They have non-animal stamps, too, but LOTS of cute animals! I love them!

I used the super fun Beach Party stamp set for my card along with the Simon Says Stamp You Are Pawsome stamp set. The grass is actually the waves stamp from the beach set! I just colored it green and added visual texture to make it look like grass instead of water. I colored the images with Spectrum Noir pens. The clouds are cut with the Memory Box Puffy Cloud dies and accented just slightly with a grey Copic marker before adding with foam tape.

April Showers and Such

April Showers and Spring Flowers! Yup! It's Spring time (at least on half the planet) and this week we want to see you inspired by the April Showers and Spring time flowers! The Design Team is using Memory Box products this week. You don't have to use them to play along, but we'd love to see how you use them if you have some on hand! 

I had a little bit of fun with the Raindrops Texture stencil from Memory Box on this card, along with the fun new Avery Elle Super die set. I added a Bazzill Vellum heart cut with the Sketch Heart die from Simon Says Stamp. I used my Wink of Stella to add both shadow and shimmer to the edge of the skyline created with the die cut.

The sentiment comes from the Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing stamp set (a new MUST HAVE...for reals, though..I love this sentiment set!) and is simply embossed on a little banner at the top of the card. A few small hearts in a bright color finish off the card and add a little punch!

It's time for a new Challenge! (I know...I just said that in banner form, but now I've said it in word form, too, so it is REALLY time. For reals, though. No.. really....it's time.)

This week we are SEEING STARS! That's right! The challenge is all about STARS this week! The Design Team is using Studio Calico products and if you have some we'd LOVE to see you rock them, but they are not required to enter.



I created a fun little starry city scene using both glittered chipboard star stickers and star sequins from Studio Calico. I used dies and an embossing folder from Spellbinders® along with them to create my scene.

I pulled out my September card kit along with this super cute Memory Box desk lamp die for my card this week!



Yes, this did take a bit of time due to the endless, errr...I mean, super fun fussy cutting. Yes, it was worth it. I just want to pull up a cozy chair beneath this shelf and read a good book!!! YAY! I love how the October Afternoon Public Library patterned paper made such a fabulous wallpaper look! LOVE IT! I also super love the little clock from the To Thine Own Self stamp set in September kit! Just. Love.
