It's that time of year and we are having some fun creating CAS back to school projects over at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge this week! I decided to play with some fun primary colors to create a great thank you card for a teacher!
Mmmmm! I am so loving those ink colors! Good old primaries. They make me happy. I trimmed the rectangle panel and temporarily adhered my stencil to the cardstock, then I inked the three colors onto the cardstock. I used Momento inks with Tsukineko ink daubers. I die cut the sentiment from black cardstock and then simply adhered it over the raised panel. Nice and easy, but so striking!
And now it's YOUR turn! Simply create a CAS creation based on the Back to School theme and link it up to the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge blog for your chance to win a great prize from Ellen Hutson!
In the meantime, I'm going to go hug some primary colors. 'Cause I love 'em and stuff. Just sayin'.
Have a Happy!!!
This is just FABULOUS, Jingle!!!

ReplyDeleteI am impressed that you got that much saturated color using daubers. I would have bet it was direct to paper from the inkpad! Love this juicy card!
ReplyDeleteThat coloured inked panel is fabulous! But I think what I like the most is how the 'thanks' sits on top of the panel. Just finishes it off perfectly. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute, perfect for BTS.

This thank you card looks really cool! I am not familiar with Tsukineko ink daubers though. Are they available at most arts and crafts stores? I am kind of a novice when it comes to this type of stuff...
ReplyDeleteInking with primary colors - how fitting for a teacher card.
ReplyDeleteJingle- this is so darned cute, I too love those primary colors. Reminds me of the days my boys were little and sending them to school, a box of crayons and construction paper. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHey if you have a moment, can you reach out to me- I have a question for you. My email is steinrn@yahoo.com.
Thanks!
