Back to School!

It's that time of year and we are having some fun creating CAS back to school projects over at the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge this week!  I decided to play with some fun primary colors to create a great thank you card for a teacher!

Mmmmm!  I am so loving those ink colors!  Good old primaries.  They make me happy.  I trimmed the rectangle panel and temporarily adhered my stencil to the cardstock, then I inked the three colors onto the cardstock.  I used Momento inks with Tsukineko ink daubers.  I die cut the sentiment from black cardstock and then simply adhered it over the raised panel.  Nice and easy, but so striking!

CAS-ual Fridays - Chevrons and Flowers

It's FRIDAY!!!!  I do so love a good Friday.  Just sayin'.  AND...we have an awesome new challenge for you over at CAS-ual Fridays this week, too!  Woot!  Woot!

Chevrons and Flowers!  Yup.  It's gonna be pretty awesome.  Just sayin'.  I pulled out a fun Hero Arts set for my card for today along with some super fun little flower gems I've had hanging around for, oh... just about EVER!  (No, like, for reals, though.)


*sigh*  I kinda love this one.  Am I allowed to even say that?  But I do.  It's one of my favorites in awhile.  I stamped the chevron strip and the sentiment and embossed them with white powder.  I then adhered the flowers for a bit of extra fun.  I rounded the top corner with my trusty corner chomper.  LOVE THAT THING!
