A Bit of CAS-ual Fall and a Ribbon Carousel Challenge!

I have a post JAM packed with goodness today!  I have a gorgeous card up over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today AND on the Ribbon Carousel Blog for RCC 86 today, as well!  Woot!  Woot!!!  This card uses SO many fun products, but I am just absolutely loving the gorgeous Amer Waves stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays!  It's the PERFECT fall set!  Perfect, I tell you!  That's why I had to pull it out to show it off for the RCC 86 Challenge, as it's all about FALL and Halloween!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

I decided to have some fun layering some gorgeous papers and ribbon and then adding even more texture with embossing.  I just love it!  So warm and cozy and Thanksgiving-y.  (Yup.  Totally a word.  'Cause I totally decided it is one.  For reals.)

Shot Through The Heart And You're To Blame

...You give love a bad name!  Yup.  That's what happens in my head when I combine arrows with 'rock'.  Why rock, you ask?  Well, because that is precisely the sentiment on my card today!

That's right, we are back with a brand new Simon Says Stamp Challenge and this time we want you to use an ARROW! TOTALLY fun, right? Right. I know. Totally. Just sayin'. The design team is also having some extra fun using Basic Grey products with our arrows this week!

You Rock

For my card I inked up the background paper to give it just a *touch* of grunge. That was really hard to do, btw. I'm not so grungy. Just sayin'. I cut the star from another pattern in the Clippings 6x6 Pad (freehand) and inked the edges of that, as well. I die cut the Simon Says YOU die in black and stamped the sentiment and finished it off with a few black gem stones. The arrow, of course, is a Studio Calico wood veneer, inked and fabulous!

You Rock (detail)

SO...your challenge, if you choose to accept it... is to create a project with an ARROW on it! Go for it, dudes! One lucky participant will win a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore..you know... just in case you need a little incentive! *wink*wink* *nudge*nudge*

Also, before you go... I would like to tell you about a fabulous Love Fest Event over on the Splitcoast Stampers Website. Simon Says Stamps is proud to be a Company Member and  Simon Says Stamp is hosting Day 5 with a Die Crazy Challenge !! There Was a Game On Yesterday

I didn't watch it. We don't even have cable (Netflix and Hulu only kind of family), so if we had wanted to watch it we would have had to go out to do so, but we didn't want to watch it. LOL! SO... we stayed in. It was quite lovely! I will likely look up some of the commercials, I know I want to see the Iron Man trailer that was shown for SURE! I'm also pretty sure there was a good Star Trek trailer, so I'll have to check that out, too. It's not that I hate football, I don't... it's just that if the Patriots aren't playing, I'm really not interested. LOL! And The Hubbums really doesn't much care for football, so if they play, we go out and watch it... if they don't, we stay home and enjoy a quiet Sunday afternoon, and that is exactly what we did yesterday.

Football is Like Life

My Dad, on the other hand LOVES football! I'm pretty sure he would like this card. I love this football stamp from the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Truffles line! It's got a bit of vintage without going overboard! LOVE THAT!  And.. just for fun, I'm linking this up to the challenge over at Inspired By!

What did YOU do yesterday? Watch the game? Pretend to watch the game and actually paper craft the whole time? Not even pretend and just make stuff like I did?! LOL! Whatever you chose to do, I hope it was fabulous!!!

Have a Happy, folks!
