Something NEW!

Happy New Year! Our first Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of the year is SOMETHING NEW! Yup! You can use something new as your theme or use brand new product on your project. The Design Team is featuring WPlus9 products this week. I LOVE WPlus9 so much! They have so many fun stamp set and dies! For my card, I decided to use NEW YOU as my inspiration! Many of our friends have likely made resolutions to better themselves in some way and it is always fun to encourage one another with handmade cards!

You Can Do It by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #Wplus9 #JustJingle #DearLizzy

I used two of my favorite WPlus9 sets for this one, Unforgettable and Encouraging Words . With a little masking, I was able to combine and image and a sentiment that wouldn't necessarily be made to go together. I thought the little elephant looked a bit like he was doing push-ups, so I added some leg warmers and a headband to the image to make him a little work-out elephant! CUTENESS!!!

You Can Do It by Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #Wplus9 #JustJingle #DearLizzy

I used some super cute wood grain patterned paper from the Dear Lizzy Documentary 6x6 paper pad. It sort of reminded me of a gym floor and went with my theme, so I ran with it! I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers.

Now it's YOUR turn! Create something awesome inspired by the SOMETHING NEW theme and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store! WHAT?! Yup! Happy New Year to YOU! For reals, though.

You can find the supplies I used linked throughout my post. Thanks for reading!

Have a Happy!

Fun With Flowers

I know I was rather excited about the new Simon Says Stamp Color of Fun release yesterday. Guess what? I'm STILL that excited about it! Seriously! It is so awesome and I am SO loving these stamps and dies! Today I am showing off the gorgeous Many Thanks stamp set. This set is a collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and WPlus9, therefore, amazing, naturally.

Fun with Flowers by Jennifer Ingle #justjingle #simonsaysstamp #wplus9 #cards

I masked off the area I wanted my floral strip and stamped away! I even used LAYERS, you guys! Well, kinda. I mean, it's layered for me.I used two different stamps for each flower and for each leaf. Layers, dude. For reals. I also used the new Hollyhock and Blue Jay inks for this one. The new ink colors in the Color of Fun release are really amazing. Seriously. They are AMAZING. Buy them.

Mountains in Your Way? Move 'em.

Yup. Move 'em. You can do it.

Move Those Mountains by Jennifer Ingle #wplus9 #cards #cardmaking #diy #papercrafts

I created this card with fabulous Encouraging Words stamp set from WPlus9. The sentiments in this set are amazing. They are truly encouraging words. In addition to the sentiments, the images are wonderfully simplistic, making them a natural choice for a CAS designer.

Move Those Mountains by Jennifer Ingle #wplus9 #cards #cardmaking #diy #papercrafts

I used three different ink colors to get the coloring I wanted on the sun behind the mountains. I love how that turned out! This one was quick, yes, but it makes me happy.

Have a Happy!

Because: Soft Grey and Pink

Hello, friends! I have a couple of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps cards to share with you today. I was in a very clean and simple kind of mood when I created these, so I chose a color scheme that I knew would be strong enough to carry the design. A beautiful soft grey toned ink and a pretty pink embossing powder turned out to be the perfect fit!

Floral Mother's Day

For this pretty Mother's Day card (Have you made one for your Mom, yet?), I stamped the smaller flower from the Mon Ami set repeatedly to create a neat background design. I then stamped and embossed that gorgeous sentiment from Mums the Word over the background in pink so it would stand out nicely.

Pro Tip: Mums the Word is on sale through this weekend for a ridiculously low price. For reals. Ridiculous.

You're Wonderful

I created a second card using the same color scheme, only this time I used the larger flower stamp from Mon Ami as the background all by itself. I then used a tag die to pop up the area with the embossed sentiment from the all new Lovely Greetings stamp set. This set sold out when we introduced it and she quickly got more in stock, but they are flying, so be sure to grab it while you can! It is SUCH a great stamp set. This card is perfect for those other women in your life who's name might not be 'Mom', but they are still pretty important. For reals, though.

Be sure to head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog for more inspiration!

Have a happy!

Howdy, Y'all!

Hello, ya'll! Yup. I totally just said y'all. And, yup, it totally sounded ridiculous coming out of my Boston-girl mouth. BUT, I think it suits my card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge this week, so I'm going with it. This week our challenge is CLEAN & SIMPLE. Ummm.. OKAY! HA! That just so happens to be what I do. Like, all the time. Therefore, I am ON BOARD for this one, ya'll. (Bwahahaha! There it is again.) The design team is using Hero Arts products for our projects this week. You don't have to use them to join in, but if you have some, we'd love to see what you do with them!

Howdy by @Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #HeroArts #DIY #Cards

I played with a couple of great background stamps along with the super cute Stamp Your Own Cactus set from Hero Arts for this card. I heat embossed the tiny flags background and then die cut the tag, layering the stamped cactus over the gold embossed background. Clean and Simple doesn't mean you have to ignore technique. You can still play with some of your favorite techniques for a design that is nice and clean and simple!

Howdy by @Jennifer Ingle #SimonSaysStamp #HeroArts #DIY #Cards

I used Hero Arts Shadow Inks for the stamping. I LOVE their shadow inks! They cover so well and you can even use the rock and roll technique, as I did on the pot, and the inks blend really nicely!

Now it's your turn! Head on over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog to link up YOUR Clean and Simple design for a chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store, y'all! (Okay, fine. I'll stop doing that. But, for REALS, you guys, it's pretty hilarious...if only you could hear me.)

Have a Happy, folks!

Unforgettable...That's What You Are

Yup. Totally just dropped that ear worm. HA! Sorry. It had to happen. No, for reals, though, it did. It's Monday and I need entertainment, what can I say? BUT, at least I have a couple of bits of awesome to share with you today!

First, I have a WINNER for the $20 Simon Says Stamp Gift Voucher Giveaway! And the Winner is...

MARCIE SHARP!

Congratulations, Marcie!

And I also have a super fun card to share with you today!

Unforgettable

This one uses a couple of different background stamps along with the adorable new Unforgettable stamp set from WPlus9. Ummm, you guys, for reals, though...I love this stamp set. I actually created this one awhile ago right after I got it because I HAD to use it, I just haven't had the chance to post it yet, so, well, here it is, folks!

Unforgettable (detail)

To create the banner, I stamped and embossed the Hero Arts Tiny Flags background stamp on watercolor paper with Matte Dull embossing powder. I then watercolored over the embossing and cut and embossed the banner using Spellbinders® Baby Buntings dies.  I stamped the background stripes on my card based and then accented with brads (yes, you can still use those), some May Arts string, and a few sequins.

This card was created purely for fun and I LOVE that about it! It was so much fun to pull together and it makes me smile!

Supplies:

Stamps: Hero Arts Tiny Flags, Simon Says Stamp Wide Stripes, WPlus9 Unforgettable
Die: Spellbinders® Baby Buntings
Ink: My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid, Simon Says Stamp Fog, VersaMark

Spectrum Noir Aquas and a Baby Elephant? Yes, please!

I have a quick card to share with you today. Honestly, I hadn't planned to post today, but after using the new Spectrum Noir Aqua pens I was WAY to excited to not share them with you right away! These are a watercolor marker. The blend BEAUTIFULLY with water and also with each other. I played with them for the first time (so, mind you, no practice really... LOL!) and created this simple and super fun card.

Not to Get Carried Away

The stamps are from the new WPlus9 Unforgettable stamp set. It is super cuteness and was a perfect fit for these new pens! I stamped with MFT Hybrid ink and then used the pens to fill in color, layering to achieve the look I wanted. I then blended them with water for a finished watercolor look. SO easy and I love how beautifully intense the colors are! For reals, though.

Not to Get Carried Away (detail)

That's all! Nice and simple, but I just had to share! These things are just too much fun!

Have a Happy!

A Five Minute Valentine

***Don't forget to enter yesterday's giveaway!***

Looking for an adorable card that you can whip up in bulk before tomorrow? Or perhaps you just need one, but you need it fast! I got these stamps in the mail the other day and didn't have a ton of time, but I wanted to make something, so I created this fun little card in about five minutes. I love it. It makes me smile!

Five Minute Valentine

The stamps are from Reverse Confetti and they are ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!! I super love them. Had to have them. It was really that simple. HA! I then used WPlus9 inks to add color to the bowtie and hair bow, along with the little hearts and the sentiment. I colored with Copics, but kept it simple by only using flat color. I used a whopping two markers to color these cuties. Yup. Just two. It's allowed. I promise.

Five Minute Valentine (detail)

I finished it off by rounding the corners with the 1/8" corner chomper. This is a new toy in my studio and, you guys, seriously....it is AMAZEBALLS! I already had the 1/4" version, but this tiny rounded corner... BE STILL MY PAPER LOVING HEART! For reals, though. It's awesome.

And that, my friends, is what I have for you today! Be sure to stop by yesterday's post to enter to win a Gift Certificate to Simon Says Stamp!

All Things Bright And Beautiful

All Things Bright and Beautiful! That's the theme for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week! Yup. We're pretty darned sick of winter and thought that this would be a great time to BRIGHTEN things up by using bright, happy, beautiful colors in our projects! The Design Team is featuring Hero Arts products this week. You don't have to use them to play along, but we would love to see you rock them if you have some on hand!

Out of this World

I figured with a challenge to use bright colors it just made sense to pull out the BRIGHTEST colors I have! I used my Hero Arts neon inks for this fun card, and... yup. It's BRIGHT! LOL! I stamped the background in pink by inking only part of the stamp and then used my favorite WPlus9 tag die to create a simple tag with more bright colors.

Out of this world (detail)

You can find my complete supply list below. Now it's YOUR turn! Create something BRIGHT and BEAUTIFUL (something NEW, please) for the challenge and link it up over on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog! Celebrate!

We had a Hanukkah party to attend this past weekend and I, naturally, created the card for the hosts at the very last minute, which is why this is being posted after Hanukkah. LOL! BUT, I still think it is such a pretty card! I have been using this design quite a bit lately. I just change it up to suit different colors, icons, etc.

Celebrate

The dies are from all over the place. LOL! The 8 is from CAS-ual Fridays, the snowflake is Avery Elle, and the tag is WPlus9. The stamps are all from the 8 Happy Nights stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays. I used silver embossing powder to give the snowflake a dip dyed look and strung May Arts metallic string through the tag.

Celebrate (detail)

I know this is a busy week for lots of folks, but I do hope you will stop by when you get a chance! I will have some fun things to show throughout the week!

Have a Happy!

Inspired by Debby Hughes

Don't forget to enter my current GIVEAWAY! Go to THIS POST for more information!

Wow! Day 1 of the Holiday Card Workshop over at Online Card Classes was AWESOME! I was super inspired by the designs, and made this fun card, inspired heavily by Debby Hughes, last night. The sketch/layout is all hers, as are many of the components. I switched up some of the colors and a created a 'dip dyed' look on my snowflake rather than on the tag like she did, but I am LOVING the look! I need to do that more often!

Happy Christmas

I used the snowflake dies from Avery Elle, with which I am IN LOVE, along with a great tag die from WPlus9. Debby used a cute stamped snowflake as the center of the die cut snowflake, but I chose to use a heart flair button from Bossy Joscie, instead.

Happy Christmas (detail)

For the sentiment, I wanted Happy Christmas, rather than Merry Christmas. Mostly because Happy Christmas just makes me happy. For reals, though. SO, I pulled out the Spellbinders® Holiday Sentiments dies (you have the 'merry' option, if you prefer that) and created the white on white look. I LOVE those dies so much!

You can find the links to the supplies I used below! These are affiliate links and your support is appreciated!

Have a Happy!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth White
Patterned Paper: BoBunny Candy Cane Lane 6x6 Paper Pad
Dies: Avery Elle Noel and Spellbinders® Holiday Sentiments
String: May Arts Metallic String, Gold
Spray Ink: Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Color Shine (if you buy nothing else on this list, buy this stuff!!! It is AWESOME!)
Flair: Bossy Joscie

From My Head TOMATOES!

It is raining. Not just a little. Actually, it's raining super tons of LOTS! It's a good 'ole Nor' Easter and I kinda wish I could cozy up with a good book all day, but, alas... BUT, the good news is that I have a super fun card to share with you today!

I LOVE this photo inspiration from the Runway Inspired Challenge! This is my first card inspired by it, but I PROMISE there will be another one. This one was inspired primarily by the colors, but I simply MUST create a card inspired by the bold, intriguing nature of this photo, as well, so watch for that. I said it out loud.... well, in type, anyway, so now I'm committed!

From My Head Tomatoes

Why, yes, I do love this stamp set! Actually, I love it from my head TOMATOES!!! HAHAHAHA! Oh, for the LOVE of all things punny!!!! For reals, you guys. Love it. I decided to keep the color scheme simple with the black and white and red. I didn't even want to add green to the stems, as it would take away from the graphic quality of the design, so I kept them white and I sorta love how that looks. I used a wide stripe stamp to add the line at the top of the card by stamping just on the edge to balance it out.

From My Head TOMATOES (detail)

Have a Happy, folks!

Supplies:

Stamps: WPlus9 Tomatoes, Simon Says Stamp Wide Stripe
Ink: My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Licorice, Hero Arts Pale Tomato
Cardstock: Simon Says Stamp Black, Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth White
Tools: Fiskars Stamp Press, Honeybee Scissors
