Nevermore - Stampendous! & Core'dinations Blog Hop (GIVEAWAYS!)

Hello, friends!  Today we are hopping with Stampendous! and Core'dinations!  Check out the Stampendous! and Core'dinations blogs to see what you might win!!!   I know you have a lot of blogs to visit today, so I'm going to keep this quick and use lots of pictures!  HA!  I decided to create a fun treat box in a coffin shape for Halloween!

Nevermore Coffin Treat Box

I had Sally the Cricut cut the box for me from Core'dinations Black Magic paper in red and black.  I also cut the spider this way.  I used Beacon Zip Dry to assemble the box so I could count on it staying put!  I added some gauze to the front and layered strips of Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor paper strips for the background.  The Jack o' Lantern and the tombstones are from Coffee Break Designs.  I stamped the Raven Background stamp and embossed it with Stardust Embossing Powder before cutting out the raven and watercoloring with Twinkling H2O's.  I stamped the Nevermore portion with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and inked it with Tim Holtz distress ink before adhering with foam dots.

I like things that sparkle. Just sayin'.

I hope you had a wonderful World Card Making day on Saturday and I hope it spilled into Sunday, too!  If you haven't entered my giveaway yet, I am leaving it open through today (Monday), as I know some are unable to check out blogs on the weekends.

Stampendous! has joined with Core'dinations for a week of inspiration and fun prizes, too!  I have a fun card to share with you today.  I used the Cling Merriest Wish stamp for this holiday card using non-traditional colors.  I chose a butter yellow cardstock from the Tim Holtz collection and sanded the edges a bit to soften them.  I then used the fabulous glitter cardstock as an accent strip.  A bit of May Arts twine and some Eyelet Outlet bling finish it off!
