I wear a Sprocket Necklace now. Sprocket Necklaces are Cool.

I know... I use that Dr. Who quote far too often, but you know what...I like it. So I will continue to do so. HA! Just say'n. BUT...I do have a fun sprocket necklace to share with you today! I created this using the itty bitty Pocket Watch Charm Trinket from Retro Cafe Art Gallery!

Sprocket Necklace

The watch is coated with Aged Silver embossing enamel from Stampendous and the inside holds a tiny sprocket from the Tim Holtz Mini Gears Set and it is filled with Diamond Glaze. Easy peasy and super cute results!!!

And the best part is that you could totally fill it with anything you want!

Well, that is all for today, but I have a TON of fun stuff to share with you all this week, so stick around and don't forget to leave your comments! I try to visit your blogs whenever you leave a comment because I love getting to know you!

Gourmet Rubber Stamps Sketch Challenge - You are a Classic!

Hello, friends! I am excited to be sharing my first creation as a member of the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Design Team with you today! The fabulous Taylor created an awesome sketch for the challenge this week, and I decided to jump right in and use it for my card!

DSCN6738

I created this card using the brand new Diner's Club set, Swing'n Spring! I LOVED this car the moment I saw the set and knew I had to get it inky right away! I combined it with some Graphic 45 papers and a bit of May Arts twine and just a small strip of cork for a fun-spirited card!

DSCN6742

Both images are heat embossed with Stampendous embossing enamel (champagne and clear bark). I just love the gorgeous vintage feel of this car image! AND...I stole The Hubbums' Aston Martin DB5 to photograph with it, making it even more fun! HA! And yes...he noticed...and promptly stole it back! HA!

So now is your chance to play along! Create a card based on this sketch:

...and upload it to the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Facebook page so we can all check it out!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

It's Stampendous! Saturday and I have a cute one 4U today!

Yup! It's Stampendous! Saturday! Time to dive back into the April Recycling Challenge for the month! This month, if you recall, we are all about recycling things to use on our projects! For my card today I decided to reuse a small bit of tissue paper that came in a gift that was sent to me a super long time ago. I cut a small bit of the paper, ran it through my Xyron, and essentially created my own washi tape! Super easy and super fun!

4U

YAY! I used what just may be one of the cutest Stampendous! Stamps EVER! It's the Puppy Eyes stamp! Don't you just LOVE him to death? He comes in wood and cling on the site or you can purchase the wood version at Michael's! I paper pieced him and his letter and applied the tissue to a pre-cut Recollections brand note card. Super easy and totally cute! I just rounded the corners for a finishing touch!

4U (detail)

If you participate in this month's challenge you have a chance to win this gorgeous Mother's Love Perfectly Clear Stamp Set!

So...take a few minutes to see the innovative ways the others on the team have incorporated recycling into their projects and then create something to play along!

Celebrate! Afterall, it IS Friday! - Precious Remembrance Shop

***This is my second post of the day! Be sure to check out my Stuffed Ice Cream card in the post below!***

Yup! It's totally Friday and I TOTALLY think that is a perfectly good reason to celebrate. Right? Right. K. Thanks. BUT...you could also celebrate for things like birthdays and other stuff where presents are involved, and in that event, you may need a card to go with the present due to that whole..'if you give a mouse a cookie' conundrum that we all face so very often...no? You don't face that conundrum often? K....maybe it's just me. I'm cool with that. Just say'n.

Celebrate

BUT...there's a card for that! (See what I did there...I did the whole 'there's an app for that' thing, only I changed it to card.... yeeeah.....riiiiight. K. I'm done with that now. Moving on.) BUT I DO HAVE A CARD FOR THAT! A card for celebrating!

Celebrate (detail)

This card features the super fun Birthday Stamp Set from Precious Remembrance Shop! CUTENESS! I combined it with papers from my The Story kit from Scrapbook Circle and some of the way awesome Washi Tape from Target. How much do I love that tape? Well, let's just say I bought all three color stories. That's how much. (And I NEVER do stuff like that! LOL!)

Anyway...I hope you will awesomely check out the Precious Remembrance blog and leave some love over there if you get a chance! The inspiration over there is crazy! Such amazing samples!

That's all for now!

Jingle Out!

Happy Happy HAPPY!!!!!!

Yup. That's pretty much what ice cream does to me. Always. It makes me happy Happy HAPPY!!!! And that, my friends, is one of the reasons this card is so very fun! The other reason, is because it's stuffed! Yup. Totally stuffed the ice cream part with a bit of fluff to make it puffy! Loving the puffy ice creamness! Just say'n.

Happy Happy Happy!

The stamps are from Samantha Walker's Sweet Life kit for Unity. Well, the ice cream ones are..the sentiment is from the Heartfelt Sentiments set.

DSCN5795

I actually stamped the top of the ice cream twice, once on a thin cardstock and once on the patterned paper. Then I carefully stuffed fluff beneath the patterned paper and poked the holes accounting for the slight change in shape due to the filling. I stitched it up with some embroidery floss and there you have it! Super fun stuffed mint chocolate chip ice cream goodness!

Happy Happy Happy (detail 2)

So, my advice for you today ... you have GOT to know what that is, right? Eat. Ice cream. Lots. Just say'n. It's totally the best advice for everything in the world. For reals. K. Bye now.

You are Wonderful! (The Story from Scrapbook Circle & CPS Sketch Challenge)

***This is my SECOND post of the day!  PLEASE check out the previous one here!  It's a really pretty card and I really want you to see it!  HA!***

Scrapbook Circle has a brand new kit for May and it is FABULOUS!  I know I mentioned yesterday that I have been crafting during my lunch break at work for the last couple of days and this is how I've been able to do it!  I simply grabbed my Scrapbook Circle kit, a portable trimmer, adhesive, and tossed in a few extras (ribbon, twine, washi tape) and went to TOWN!  I decided to create this card yesterday using the kit with a bit of added silk ribbon and baker's twine from May Arts.

You Are wonderful

The papers are from the Bazzill Wayfarer collection and the chipboard stickers are from the Bella Blvd. Cloud sheet  (LOVE THESE!).  The sentiment stickers are Cosmo Cricket fabulousness!

You Are Wonderful (detail)

I based this card on the CPS Sketch Challenge for this week.  I really like how it turned out!  If I'm honest, I wasn't sure about the sketch, but once I pulled all the pieces together I was quite pleased!  I think this would make a wonderful card for a friend or even a great card for a new baby!

And...in case you haven't seen the The Story kit from Scrapbook Circle yet...ummm.....

I KNOW! RIGHT???!!! I was so excited when I saw that fabulous stencil in there! And just look at all of those delicious papers! I have already created around 13 cards using this kit! That is a LOT of cards! And I still have tons of paper left to work with! I seriously love it!

You can check out the whole kit over at Scrapbook Circle! It's a good one, folks!

I'm Not Sure What Rock I've Been Living Under, but...

I just recently discovered the Simon Says Stamps Challenge blog.  I KNOW, right?  How on EARTH was I missing this fun?  (P.S.  If you haven't heard of it yet, either, you are TOTALLY going to want to check it out!)

Sooo....in this discover, I, of course, decided that I should do the current challenge, which, just so happened to be VERY EASY!  HA!  It's an Anything Goes Challenge!  YAY!  It is sponsored by Paper Smooches, however, unfortunately, I do not own any Paper Smooches stamps  (yet) so I decided to go with this card made with a Hero Arts stamp.

Navy Thanks

The ribbon is from May Arts and the pins and flowers are from Retro Cafe Art Gallery.

Flourish of Thanks (detail)

Can I tell you a secret?  I love this one.  The navy background with the text patterned paper border just makes me happy.  The ribbon is fun and I like the pretty littles that are scattered around to add sparkle and softness all at the same time.  Just a quick switch of the sentiment and you have a PERFECT Mother's Day card, too!

Also...just an FYI...I will have another fun post today with the Scrapbook Circle May kit reveal and another challenge card using said kit!  Don't forget to check that one out, too!

So, actually, today's shot is different from the norm, as the last couple of days I have brought my Scrapbook Circle kit and a few other supplies to work with me to use my lunch time to create! I LOVE IT! It is a totally relaxing way to spend my break and I feel so good when I do it! I can't make it work every day, but I am totally going to do this now and then just for fun!

I know...not quite the mess you are used to seeing, although, still not neatly organized, because, let's face it...that's just not how I roll! HA!

A Sunny Note

AND...I have one of those cards to share with you today, as well! I created this one based on the CAS-ual Fridays Sketch challenge for this week. I used some of the AWESOME washi tape from Target (I bought all three color sets! I LOVE this stuff!) and a bright and sunny star from Bella Blvd.'s Sophisticates collection. (Those chipboard stickers are in the may SC kit! Just say'n.!) The sentiment is from Precious Remembrance Shop.

A Sunny Note (Detail)

I do apologize that this last photo is so blue. I am currently fighting with the new Aviary editor attached to Flickr, and let's just say...it's no "Picnik." Just say'n. (Flickr/Picnik users...you there with me?)

Soooo....that's all the super fun stuff I have for you TODAY!!! YAY!!! I hope you have a super fantastic day! Happy Wednesday!

I'm Going Off-Sketch for the day!

Well, due to being quite busy enjoying relaxing time with The Hubbums last week, I, unfortunately, was not able to get to the Skipping Stones Sketch for today! *GASP!* I know! It's tragic, really, it is. BUT...the good news is that there IS, indeed, a new sketch and YOU can win free stamps by participating! You just need to follow the sketch - you don't even have to use SSD stamps to play along! (But if you have them, we love to see them!) I did, however, want to share a card using the Beautiful Botanicals set! This was another one of my Stamping Royalty entries, so I thought it would be fun to share it with all of you!
Thinking of You
This also happened to be one of the very first cards I created with my Grand Calibur just after I got it! I love how you can stamp with the die still in place to get the PERFECT frame around your stamping! *sigh* It just makes me happy. Just say'n.
Thinking of You (detail 2)
I stamped the image in white ink. If I was doing this over again, I would probably heat emboss the image in white, but I didn't have the Stampendous! powder to do that at the time. I do now!!! YAY!
Thinking of You (Detail 3)
So...even though I went off-sketch for this week, I hope you will head on over to Skipping Stones Design and check out what the Design Team has created and PLAY ALONG! Seriously, you guys...it's a random drawing for the prize and the odds are usually pretty good! AND...you get to make a card, so that's just super fun! Jingle Out!

Hello. I'm back!

Yup! My vacation week has officially ended. And it is POURING outside and just so happened to be a perfect day to stay cozy and sleep in...on our first day back to getting up at 5! HA! Well, isn't that always the way. Quite frankly, I'm okay with it because I rather enjoyed the beautiful weather during our week off. We got to spend some time outside, took the dogs for walks, and just enjoyed it! *LOVE THAT!!!!* I did a couple of photo shoots with the puppies and ended up with over 300 shots! YAY! If you want to see them, let me know. I might do a post of Maggie and Thatcher pics if you guys are interested! As for today...how about a simple, but pretty 100 Proof Press and May Arts card?
hello
It is no secret that I LOVE my doily stamp from 100 Proof Press! And...combining it with this glorious teal ribbon from May Arts is just enough to make me a very happy girl! This was actually one of my stamping royalty submissions, so I am happy to say that it went on to Operation Write Home for someone to give. That's pretty neat. Just say'n.
Hello (detail)
The little Hello stamp is from Unity and the ink is Momento. I might make more of this design with different colored ribbons to give as a set someday. I just love the simplicity and the fun bow! Bows make me smile! Just say'n. So...I was pretty out of the loop over the last week...anything exciting happen here on the interwebs? Updates, folks! I need updates! HA! Washi Tape and Butterflies!

Hi, guys! This week, of course, has gone by WAY too fast! Vacation weeks have a tendency to do that, though, don't they? HA! I do have a fun card to share with you today, however, using some of the fun new stamps from Precious Remembrance Shop! I am using the calendar set again today! I did a color shadow technique on this card that is so simple, particularly with clear stamps, but really a great way to add a little something to your card!
Just a Note
I used strips of washi tape to back my cork buttefly (punched with a Martha Stewart punch). For the sentiment, I stamped it first in a coordinating color, and then, just the tiniest bit off from the color, I stamped it again in black. This gives the text a clean, color shadow that I think is really neat!
DSCN6072
I hope you have had a wonderful week! I am still wrapping my head around getting back to the usual routine! HA! We'll see how that goes! I do have a FUN Blog Anniversary celebration post for my dear friend, Diana, coming up tomorrow including GIVEAWAYS so don't forget to stop by for that! We have a great sketch for you and LOTS of inspiration! Well, gotta run! I'm off doing vacation-ey things today...that being NOT WORKING! LOL! Have a wonderful Friday!!!!! Jingle Out!

Just a Note to Say Happy Birthday!

Umm...can I just tell you that I LOVE my card for today!  'Cause I totally do!  I actually won these papers from Basic Grey and I am SO excited that we are featuring the Heartsong set from Skipping Stones Design today because they are a perfect match!  And then, the sketch for this week was just PERFECT!!!  YAY for things working out to make pretty other things!!!!

So...here it is!

Happy Birthday Butterflies

I stamped the butterflies from the Heartsong set and cut them out to layer over the Basic Grey background papers.  I actually trimmed a border sticker to stamp the sentiment and I LOVE how that part turned out!  The colors are just so pretty and not ones I might normally think to pull together for a card like this one.  I'm happy.  Just say'n.

Happy Birthday Butteflies (detail 1)

And...as per usual, Skipping Stones has a new sketch challenge today where you can play along for a chance to win FREE STAMPS!  You don't have to use SSD stamps to enter, so you have pretty much no excuse!  Do it!!!!

Scrapbook Circle Daydreamer - Another Layout! Yikes!

I know!  It's shocking!  Another layout! And this one is SO TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the one I posted last week!  For this layout I used the Scrapbook Circle Daydreamer kit!  I LOVE THIS KIT!  The bright and fun colors just make me incredibly happy AND it is so full of Amy Tangerine goodness, I can hardly STAND it!  wow. i totally used too many caps in that opening paragraph.  i will not use them for a bit to make up for it.  k?  k.  good.  thanks.

So, anyway...my assignment was to lift a layout that was created by one of the Scrapbook Circle fans!  You can see the layout I lifted over on the Scrapbook Circle blog! I basically pulled the sketch from her layout and totally made it my own with color!

Color - SC Lifting You

So.Much. Stinking.  Fun!!!!  I know...LOTS of color for a Monday morning, but trust me, it's good for you.  I know these things.  Just say'n.

Color (detail 2)

I had a ton of fun tucking stickers in here and there to get my final look!  I love how the Heidi Swapp photo corners and letter stickers (for the title) really finish it off so nicely!  And those Amy Tan fabric tabs????  Seriously.  *LOVE!*

Wow!  I'm kinda hyper today.  Hmmm....must be because I'm on VACATION this week!  Yup!  No work. All week.  LOVING IT!!!

I hope you like it! I will be sharing the MAY Scrapbook Circle kit with you VERY SOON!  It's pretty stinking fabulous, too.  Just say'n.

It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed...

Stampendous! has teamed up with the Altered Alice challenge blog this month, and well, if you have been around for any time at all, you are bound to know that I am QUITE PLEASED with that!  I am a big Alice fan and I love creating Alice themed projects!  Since this particular challenge is based on the theme of being splendidly dressed, I decided to create an accessory!  I made this brooch featuring none other than the white rabbit, himself!

The White Rabbit Brooch

The frame is from Retro Cafe Art and is covered with Aged Gold Embossing Enamel from Stampendous! I stamped the Music Score cling stamp on an inked background to create the backdrop for my rabbit. I then covered it with Glossy Accents. The rabbit is from the amazing Wonderland Perfectly Clear Stamp set. I stamped him on watercolor paper, accented him with Tombow marker, and then placed him on the still wet glossy accents, allowing his ears to pop out. I covered him with glossy accents, as well, so only his ears came out!

The White Rabbit

This was SUCH a fun project to create! You should totally try to participate in the challenge! Stampendous! is offering a GREAT prize!!! You can check it out over on the Altered Alice blog!

AND...the Stampendous! challenge is running strong right now and we want to see you recycling, reusing, and basically, being creative with something that might normally get tossed! So, I bring you today's card!

Bird Tree Thank You

For this card I pulled out the Birds on a Branch stencil from Dreamweaver and embossed the pattern into kraft cardstock using my Grand Calibur machine. I gently pulled an embossing pad over the raised portion of the design and then coated it with Stampendous! Crystal Embossing Enamel to achieve that gorgeous glossy shimmer!

Birds on a Branch Thank You (detail 1)

The sentiment is stamped with the fabulous thank you from the Happy Messages Perfectly Clear Stamp Set by Stampendous! I created the butterfly by punching it from a piece of plastic packaging and then coating it with glossy accents covered in glitter! I {heart} it. Just say'n.

Enjoy Life - Sit in Happy Rooms

***This is my second post for the day! Click HERE to see my Shades of Green card!

I think happy rooms are, well....umm....HAPPY!  Rooms with lots of color are happy.  Rooms with no color and ALL WHITE are pretty happy, too, actually...unless my two black labs are in the, ummm....state.  Just say'n.  HA!  But, a room with BOOKS, well, that, my dear friends, will ALWAYS be a happy room, in my opinion.  ALWAYS!

I created this card for Inspire Me Friday over at the Precious Remembrance Shop blog!  I used two of the sentiments from the Calender Set!  I am telling you..I. LOVE. These. FONTS!  I know... I've said it before, but I just have to say it again.  The fonts on these stamps are just too good!  I really love them.  Just say'n.

Enjoy Life

I combined the stamps with some fun papers from My Little Shoebox and Bella Boulevard and AWESOME stickers from American Crafts that have been waiting for the perfect inspiration!  And guess what?  I pretty much love this little room.  The happy chair makes me happy.  The happy bookcase makes me happy.  The happy cloud that, yes, I realize is INSIDE, makes me happy.  The whole thing makes me feel like I'm in a magical Alice in Wonderland kind of happy world created just for me.  So there.  It's happy, daggumit!  HA!

(No...for reals, though...the cloud...in the room...totally makes me happy.  I want to sit in this room.  Can someone please make it big for me?  K.  Thanks.  Bye now.)

Three Shades of Green

Three Shades of Green.  That is the challenge over at Less is More this week.  I love that idea!  Greens can be so beautiful together!  I decided to pull out a cool background stamp that came in a Unity grab bag for my card.  It is part of the Bitty Background set.   I stamped it, simply, three times, each time in a different shade of green!

Just  A Note

*sigh*  Pretty colors!  I then added simple flower embellishments from Michael's on each square and finished the card by stamping the sentiment from the Heartfelt Sentiments set and adding just a big of green silk ribbon from May Arts!

Just a Note (detail)

After completing this card I decide that I really need to pull out my Bamboo ink pad from Momento more often.  The color is just SO pretty!   (That's the darkest of the three...the other two are CTMH colors.)  What color have you played with lately and loved?

Dreampendousness!

(Yes, that's what you get when Stampendous! and Dreamweaver come together. Just say'n.)

Get ready to be inked, pasted, encrusted, stenciled and stamped! All of this week the Dreamweaver Stencils' Dream Team and the Stampendous Design Teams will be providing some "Dream-pendous" inspiration for you, with multiple opportunities to win some fabulous prizes from both companies. Each day this week, you will be directed from both the Stampendous Impressions' blog or the Dream It Up! blog to the players du jour for your oohing and aaahing pleasure. Everyone will be playing on Saturday, the 14th with our final hop for the week. This is your opportunity to see how to mix and mingle your creativity...if you are a stenciler, you will be fascinated at combining stamps with your first love. If you are a stamper, you will be wowed at how stencils can add to your impressions.

I got to play with the Dreamweaver Rain stencil and the Pearlescent Embossing Paste and I combined those with the Frilly Bird Cage stamp from Stampendous! (available in both wood and cling - wood available at Michael's).

Rainy Day Bird

After affixing my stencil with masking tape and then covering the design with the embossing paste I carefully brushed Pearlex powder over the still wet paste and allowed it to dry. It is a good idea to spray a workable fixatif over this after it has dried to prevent smudges! Then, after it dried completely, I stamped my image, colored the bird, and fussy cut it before adhering it with foam tape. Just a bit of string finishes it off!

Rainy Day (detail)

Be sure to leave comments as you tour the blogs (with your email addy!) for a chance to win* one of three combined sets of these Dreamweaver and Stampendous goodies:

*For shipping and handling purposes, USA/APO/FPO/Canada winners only.
