Because Pinecones are Awesome

Seriously. They are. And stamping pinecones on wood veneer, cutting them strategically to add dimension, and adding a shimmering tree bough, well, I may even venture to say THAT is awesome, too. BUT, you don't have to take my word for it! (Insert Reading Rainbow music here.)

CFS Season's Greetings

Okay, so seriously, I love this one. I would say it is my favorite of the new release from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, but I kind of really super love tomorrow's card, too, so ... yeah, there's that. HA! But seriously... the ENTIRE Ink Squad was totally inspired by this set and it SHOWS when you see their stuff!

Dashing Through the Snow

For this one I used some super pretty Simon Says Stamp inks along with a great polka dot patterned paper from the Basic Grey Fresh Cut collection. A few little Hero Arts gem stones add just a bit of sparkle to the design.

Creative Blog Hop: Just Jingle Style

You may have seen some of these fun Creative Blog Hop posts around blog land. I was tagged for it by the absolutely amazingly fabulous Joscie! I will share with you a few things about myself and then tag a couple of more friends to share with you! Here goes...

1. What am I working on now?

Well, that's a rotating question, really. LOL! This week I have some projects planned for an upcoming guest designer spot (shhh! Secrets!!!), along with some submission cards I am working on if I can get my act together. HA! I also have found that I have TOO many uninked stamps currently in my studio, so I am trying to make 'just for fun' cards here and there with those because, well... it's FUN! Here is one I created this weekend using the Super Due STAMPtember® exclusive from Simon Says Stamp!

2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?

Ummm... well... Okay, so first, I should probably define my genre, which, I would PROBABLY say is CAS, although, let's be honest, I kinda go all over the place. So, I think that's probably how I differ. I can't sit still in my genre. HA! I just sort of do what feels like a fun thing to do at the time. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it SOOOO doesn't. But it is always fun and it often teaches me new things.

3. Why do I create what I do?

Well, I'm going to cheat and answer the first four words of that question. The 'what' is less important then the 'why' for me. I create because it is in my blood. It keeps me happy. It helps me through things that are hard and allows me to express myself. It is also super fun when things are totally NOT hard. It's just a part of me. I will always create in some way or another.

4. How does my creative process work?

Again, I'm brought to the Ummm.... state, here. Process, huh? I honestly do not have a consistent process. Sometimes I'm super inspired by a new product and I just want to play, so I make something. I don't really plan my projects, I just work as I go and see what comes out. That has down sides. Usually involving questions like, "Well, now how am I going to get that under there when I already stamped and glued that down?" Hmm.... BUT, it is how I work. I just do.

So, alas, there you have it!

I am nominating two super fabulous crafters:

Teri Anderson, because, seriously, you guys... she's amazing AND a giant ray of sunshine in a smile!

AND...

Heather Campbell. Because I love her. And she is fabulous. (Actually, she is so awesome she DESIGNED the amazing patterned paper I used on the card above. Yup. For reals.)

Watch for their posts next Monday!

Ka-POW! Go Knock 'em Out, girls!

Merry & Bright

For my card, I stamped the trees in VersaMark ink and then brushed Perfect Pearls over them. This card has SO much shimmer! For reals! I love that! These trees really have so many possibilities!

It's CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release Time!!!

YAY!!! We took a bit of a release break and I know I, for one, am SUPER excited to be celebrating another AWESOME new release from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!  And, let me tell you, folks, I think you are going to really LOVE this one! I have certainly been having a blast with it, that's for sure!

Happy Thanksgiving Wreath

See what I mean?!?! Yup. This is the first of the new sets and it is called Wheat Wreath and it is so pretty! I love it. Love.

Happy Thanksgiving Wreath (detail)

I heat embossed the wreath in gold and cut it out to layer it over the vellum overlayed over the patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Sweather Weather collection. I stamped and embossed the sentiment directly on the vellum and then finished the wreath with some wood dots from My Mind's Eye. It's a warm and cozy kind of card.

Be sure to head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog to check out even MORE awesome inspiration from the Design Team and also for your chance to WIN this gorgeous new stamp set! What?! Yup. Totes, you guys. For reals.

What's Up?

Have you been keeping an eye on the Spellbinders blog? Because, dude. There are lots of new dies coming out and they are FABULOUS!!! I used the new Chevron border die for this card, and, umm... I super duper love it. Like, lots. For reals, though. Super. duper. lots.

What's Up?

I kept it simple with a fabulous line image giraffe from Altenew and a super cute punny sentiment. LOVE THAT! I colored the triangles with Spectrum Noir pens, but kept the colors fairly flat and simple since the pattern was doing all the work.

In other news, I have a *couple* of mystery boxes left! They have been selling, so I only have a couple more! See yesterday's post for more info!

Ducks are Adorable

At least THIS duck is. He is from the Storybook stamp set from Avery Elle, and seriously, you guys. Adorbs. Super. Duper. Adorbs. For reals, though. I love this stamp set. I combined it with some soft colors for this sweet little birthday card that I created for the AEI♥U Challenge!

I love the soft green with the soft, but still bold red on this. It makes me happy. I also super love the white enamel dots. They are subtle, due to the white on the card, but still add just that little extra bit of happy. The pierced circle? THAT, my friends is quickly becoming one of my absolute favorite die sets! It's from the new Spellbinders Celebra'tions collection and I LOVE IT!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I also still have a few more de-stash mystery boxes ready to ship. They are Medium Flat Rate USPS Priority boxes that I can ship to US addresses only. I am asking $45 SHIPPED for these boxes. (That is around $30 for the product! WHAT?!) They are SUPER stuffed and include both new and gently used stamp sets (over ten in each box), patterned paper, embellishments, ribbon/twine, some even include dies, inks, and more! Please email me if you are interested in purchasing one of these boxes!
