The rhinestones add just a bit of sparkle. I think this is a perfect card to give to your husband! Simple, direct, and happy making. Just say'n.
Would you like to know what is NOT happy making and what I do NOT love? Olympic Basketball. Yup. It's a joke. I love the Olympics. I love cheering for the Americans, even in the sports we suck at. I love cheering for favorites from other countries, too! I HATE Olympic basketball. I do not think our Pro players should be allowed to play. I don't even care if EVERY other country puts their 'professional' basketball players out there. Ours shouldn't get that privelege. They are arrogant and don't really deserve the Olympic title like other Olympians. One of them even had the nerve to say he should get paid for the two months of training. REALLY???? Tell that to those gymnasts who have been training since they were about four years old. Talk to the archers and the shooters who barely even manage to get sponsorships, never you MIND payment for training. But, yes...you already make 25 million a year, so of COURSE YOU should get paid for training. Phooey on you. That's all I have to say about that! HA!
So, anyway. That's my rant for today. LOL! Thanks for stopping by and thanks for listening! HA!
Jingle Out.
oh my golly my husband and i were just having the SAME conversation last night- i thingk the basketball is a JOKE!!! the Olympics were always about non professional athletes competing-- i also disagree with the tennis- those are professional athletes that get paid
ReplyDeleteyou are preaching to the choir!!!
super clean and simple card!!! great job
I agree with your rant! I don't even watch basketball any more and it used to be my favorite sport! Love you card, too...
ReplyDeleteAdd a ditto to that. Basketball is such a corrupt sport with a bunch of way overpaid babies in it
ReplyDeletePretty card love the bling!
ReplyDeletePRETTY...
ReplyDeleteGreat card - keeping this in mind for my next masculine card! No more suffering for a design :)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about your opinion on O. Basketball...also think that about tennis too.
Agree with you, although I didn't watch any. Really enjoyed the women gymnasts, weren't they amazing? Cute CAS card.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! Both for the rant and for sharing the beautiful card!!
ReplyDeleteWell done, both!
Love both! the card and the rant! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the card and your opinion on the US basketball team is spot-on!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I hate Olympic basketball and just won't watch at all. Who wants to see a score of 150 something to 10 or whatever it ends up being. Blah.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your CAS card and agree with you completely about our US basketball team. I don't think they should play either....and get paid? What the he!! is wrong with them???? Arrogance at it's finest! =)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty CAS card.
ReplyDeleteWELL said Jingle!
ReplyDeleteGreat CAS card and agree wholeheartedly!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card, Jennifer! I have to agree with you about the basketball. Might as well hand them the gold because it's obvious there are only two medals up for grabs. I don't think any professional athletes should be playing. In baseball and soccer, those aren't the pros. I don't understand why it's so different in basketball and hockey!
ReplyDeleteSweet, CAS card! I hear ya about the basketball.
ReplyDeleteTotally had this same discussion about pro hockey athletes...imo that's not the spirit of the Olympics. So I hear ya :)
ReplyDeleteLove this sweet card - the gems just make it!
First SUPER CAS card!
ReplyDeleteSecond, YEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!
I think its a disgrace that athletes in this country make the kind of money they are making-it's just DISGUSTING!
Thanks for saying!
The card is great and I also agree with the rant :)
ReplyDeleteGreat project.... and evey easy!
ReplyDeleteI also agree with your rant. Let those who appreciate representing their country FOR THE HONOR THAT IT IS play basketball, not those already over-indulged bores. One reason I am a fan of Missy Franklin is that she passed on the endorsements so that she could remain amateur and swim for her high school team. THAT'S loving the sport!
ReplyDeleteHey Jingle, as usual, your card is great. As usual, I love reading your post, and I couldn't agree with you more. Olympic basketball makes other Olympic sports look bad. It is a farce. That's my 2 cents.
ReplyDeleteLove your CAS card. I am appreciating this style more everyday.
ReplyDeleteAMEN to your rant girlfriend!! you are so right!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your CAS card!!! perfect for hubby so going to case it :)
LOL HIGH FIVE I despise greedy people!! I love your card!!
ReplyDeleteI so agree they are way overpaid!!!
ReplyDeleteSo, totally AGREE about the basketball players. Their arrogance is just disgusting! On a happier note...I love the super CAS card you made!
ReplyDeleteLovely card! CAS perfection :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinion on the pro players. It gives an unfair advantage and means that they are men and women out there who have to miss out on their dream of going to the Olympics because an overpaid, egotistical (not all, but most) person decides that they do not have enough in their trophy case. Ok...now I am fired up too...lol!
This is a lovely card Jingle!
ReplyDelete"Lovely" card and funny everyone is saying about the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good rant! You go right ahead!
ReplyDeleteLove your lil' old CAS card!
Hahahaha! I agree! Whatevs...I'm totally into the other sports!
ReplyDelete~Cindy
Simplicity at its finest, what a great card!
ReplyDeleteSIMPLE. LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteDitto on the basketball. Over paid narcissistic blow hards.
So what is the reason pro atheletes are allowed to play? I noticed tennis had Serena Williams. It seems completely unfair to the spirit of the games imo. She did seem really proud and happy but it feels like cheating in a way. Love the card btw! Good luck with the move!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card today, and I never understood why the rules changed through the years to allow pro athletes to compete at the Olympics anyway! It's SO completely unfair to the younger folks working hard to gain a spot on an Olympic team!
