Welcome to the September Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop! I'm so glad you stumbled on by! If you came from Wendy's blog you are already hopping along, YAY! If not, feel free to jump on back to Skipping Stones Design to get started and check out all of the fabulous inspiration!

We have another GREAT sketch from Amy this week! And we also have a SUPER CUTE release today!!! Here is the card I created using the brand new Holiday Cats set and the sketch for the challenge this week.

I'm Not Afraid of heights....

And...the inside...

I'm not afraid of heights... (Inside)

HA! I love it!!!! The papers are Crate Paper and My Mind's Eye. I stamped the image in Momento ink and colored with Tombow markers. The ribbon is, of course, May Arts and those tiny gem stones are Making Memories.

Okay, so here's the thing. I am SO not a cat person. I have two black labs and they are the bestest little girlies in the wholest widest world, but I don't so much do cats. Why? Well, primarily because they try to kill me. No...really. I'm horribly allergic to the little things and I'm not talking a little watery eyes, here, folks, I'm talking, BIG TIME. I actually tried to hide one in the basement once when I was little with the help of my older cousin who was living with us at the time. We kept the kitten in a playpen and she used her own allowance money to buy food. As it turns out, my allergy is a direct genetic result of my DAD'S allergy to cats...yeah...he was pretty miserable until they finally heard the "meowing" from the basement a couple of days later. Oooopsies!!!! HA!

BUT...that being the case, I love this stamp set and I totally was having fun with it, so I decided to create another super fun card with it!

Trick or Tuna (2)

The folks over at CAS-usal Fridays issued a super fun fall card challenge that had to include paper piecing! Well, it just so happens that paper piecing is one of my all time favorite techniques, so, needless to say, I just jumped right in head first!

Trick or Tuna (detail)

  5. Oh I can TOTALLY relate Jen - hives in 5 minutes, throat & tongue swelling, eyes tearing and swelling, nose like a faucet... NOT a cat fan, I am a TOTAL DOG person - however, I am sure I have room for THIS little hypollergenic kitty into my home and into my SSD collection. And I LOVE the sentiment (afraid of waists - so totally me right now!) Thanks for always creating such wonderful things for us to see and thank you all of your wonderful comments on my blog, I treasure every one.

  11. Ha! I love your card. So sorry you are allergic to cats. They are good people. I'm actually allergic to some of them, oddly not all, too.

For the first time, I know, I know, why did I wait so long? I actually went to everyone in your hop. Totally fun! I may become a card maker yet! Thanks for all the inspiration!

We are totally dog people here too. Our boys keep asking for a kitten but Holiday Cats is about as close as we're coming to any cats coming in this house. LOL!

I am insane for cats - we have SIX! I'm totally that crazy cat lady, except I'm married, so I consider that a free pass to have up to 8 if needed. LOL!

  26. And I am SUUUUUUCH a kitty cat person! I'm not allowed to have ANY kind of pet here (WAHHH!) so I pitifully go around petting all the neighborhood kitty-people! And I admit I am not at all a doggy person. I like them as long as I can see them at a distance. (I was literally traumatized by a dog when I was 6 so ...!) YOU, my little ball of pure fun, may be allergic to CATS, but you obviously are NOT allergic to making two of the cutest cat CARDS I've ever seen!
