More Tears

Untitled

I still can't quite believe that I wrote a similar post to this one just seven months ago. Our sweet, beautiful, loving, amazing, perfect little Maggie girl is no longer with us. She died last Friday. Our hearts are truly broken. Sean and I adopted Maggie just weeks after getting married. We hadn't even graduated from college yet. She has been a part of every single day for fourteen wonderful years. She was absolutely the most perfect dog you could even imagine, I promise you that. We don't have any idea how to be grown-ups without her (actually, she may have been the best at being gown-up out of all of us). As each day passes, the more I am convinced that she took care of us as much as we took care of her. We miss her so very very much. I really wish words could tell you how precious both Maggie and Thatcher were to Sean and me. They were our baby girls. Big holes. Two big holes.

  12. So sorry for your loss and grateful you gave Maggie and Thatcher a wonderful life. I understand your pain. Molly and Sandy were our fur children, and Molly took care of us as much as we took care of her. If life would grant me just one wish, it would be that our fur children could live our lifetime.

  31. JIngle, my heart breaks for you and Sean with the loss of your sweet Maggie, following so closely to Thatcher. Years ago, I had two miniature schnauzers - Casey and Squirt. My Casey passed away when she was 12; my Squirt when when she was 18 (yes...18). Although it's been a while, not a day goes by that I don't think of them...and miss them. Have you read "Rainbow Bridge'? If not, do...yes, you'll cry, but it's also spirit-lifting to know that our girls are someplace special...waiting. And I'd best stop writing...tears welling up! Hugs galore to you!

I know the pain we are going through, with each and every pet we rescue, have grow old with us, then have to lose in the end. Big hugs Jennifer, for you and your hubby. ♥
