Online Card Classes: Stenciled Day 1

I am super excited to be taking the Stenciled class over at Online Card Classes!  Class began today and I enjoyed watching the videos so much that they were still running when I pulled out my ink and stencils and started to experiment!  Now THAT, my friends, is a sign of a good class!  The topic of the day was inking with stencils, specifically, thus the homework was to do just that!  I decided to attempt one of the techniques that Jennifer demonstrated in the lesson.  I used the same stencil twice to create an entirely new pattern for my card.  I love how this turned out!

Happy Birthday To You

I LOVE finding inspiration from other awesome crafters!!!  This card just came right together after being pushed to play with my stencils and some ink!  The mint and navy are a favorite color combination of mine and by using both with the stencil I created almost a simple plaid design.  I used glitter paper for the large star and used my Wink of Stella to add glitter to a simple cardstock star for the blue one.  A few enamel dots finish off the look perfectly!

Happy Birthday To You (detail)

This is, incidentally, the same stencil I used for my watercolor blocks card a short while ago.  What different looks, right?!  LOVE THAT!

You can find links to the products I used for this card in the inlinkz below!  Thanks for stopping by!

Have a Happy!
