What Would I Do Without You

Facebook.  It's a good thing and a bad thing.  Last night, for me, it was a great thing!  I was having a rather miserable day (yes.. those happen... even to the intensely crazy perky happy people who may or may not eat jelly beans for breakfast from time to time) and I was able to talk it out with a friend I have never actually stood face to face with.  She got it.  She knew what it was like.  And she helped tremendously.  Facebook is quick and there when you need someone and I love that!  And so... today's CAS-ual Fridays challenge card is for her.  She doesn't know that though, so... ummm.. now she does.  HA!  Surprise!  :)

Yup!  We are making feminine cards with kraft goodness on them!  I think it's a pretty natural fit, personally!  And... this week's challenge is sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, so that means one awesome card maker is going to get a great prize!

What Would I do Without You

I used the awesome stamps and new dies from CAS-ual Fridays on this one!  I just love them!!!  (Links in the linky below the post.)  I layered mint ink over white to get a good strong, yet still soft color on the kraft.  I love this technique!  It's so soft and pretty!

What Would I Do (detail)

We would LOVE to have you join in the challenge!  Simply make a feminine creation using kraft in your design and link it up to the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge blog!

And now....

Have a Happy!  (For reals, though.  Have one.)

Be Strong in Pink

Hello, friends!  Today I have a bit of pink, okay, actually kinda lots of pink on my card, and you know what?  I am totally loving that.  Pink is fun sometimes!  Particularly when combined with grey.  *swoon*  I do so love grey!!!

Be Strong

I used the ribbons4cure stamp set from The Stamps of Life along with the super fun coordinating Ribbon Dies.  I love these dies!  They make it so easy!!!  I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto a vellum panel and then added a simple Tim Holtz pin to the top and adhered it to the card.  I made sure to put the adhesive behind the die cut ribbon and the sentiment to keep it from showing.

Be Strong Ribbon Card

A bit of washi tape adds some fun, too!  LOVE IT!

And with that, I bid you adieu!

Have a Happy!

A THRILLING Halloween Card!

Hiya, folks!  I am so excited to be playing with some awesome goodies from IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® and the brand new Thrilling line from Authentique today!  I LOVE these papers!!!  I created a super fun card to share with you today!

Thrilling Halloween

Here are the goodies I used for this fun card:
IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® VersaMark™ Watermark Ink
IMAGINE Crafts® Embossing Powder™
Authentique Thrilling Paper Collection
Lawn Fawn Heebie Jeebies stamp set
Cardstock - black

To begin, I cut out one of the journaling cards from the paper collection, stamped the image in VersaMark™ onto the card and embossed it with IMAGINE Crafts® Embossing Powder™ in black.  I love how well that image fit on that journaling card!  It's always a happy thing when that happens!

Thrilling Step 1

Next, I simply created a card base from cardstock and then trimmed the text patterned paper and adhered that to the card base.  I trimmed the hexagon pattern from patterned paper, trimming a few extras to adhere with foam tape, and added that as an accent strip.  I tucked the journaling card under the hexagon border and adhered that, as well.

Thrilling Step 2

And there you have it!  A fun, not-so-spooky, yet very festive Halloween card!  I LOVE these papers so much!

Thrilling Halloween

Anything Goes, Thank you, very much!

Hello, friends!  It's Wednesday and that means that is time for a brand new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!  You guys, I can't even tell you how much I love being on this team.  For reals.  We just have such SUPER fun challenges and the folks at Simon Says Stamp are the BEST!  And apparently I'm in a sappy mood today, but whatevs, it's true.  HA!  This week is ANYTHING GOES week, which I know is a BIG fan favorite!  The Design Team is playing with goodies from The Greeting Farm today.  They make the CUTEST stamps!  I decided to use one that I think is a little lesser known from them... a super fun sentiment stamp!

Golden Thanks

ACK!  Isn't that bundle of thank you goodness just too much fun?!  I totally love it!  It's the Blush Thanks stamp from The Greeting Farm.  I have always admired their adorable doll stamps, but this was so much more my style and I just LOVE how fun it is! I will be pulling this one out time and time again, for sure!

Golden Thank You

I stamped the sentiment in Golden Glitz ink!  LOVE. THAT. STUFF.  If you are a regular reader, you know that already, but just in case it wasn't clear.  LOVE. THAT. STUFF.  Hahahahaha!  And now it's YOUR turn!  Create a NEW creation (posted after the challenge went live) and link it up to the challenge for your chance to win a $50 Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store!  Woot!

Now would pretty much be the PERFECT time to win, as Stamptember starts next week and you will be SO EXCITED when you see the new goodies coming out from Simon Says Stamp!  Holy crafting awesomeness, Batman!  It's good stuff.  Really good stuff.  Trust me on this one.  You can enter up to five times, so... dude.... do it.  For reals.

A Bit of Zig, A Bit of Zag and a Happy Harvest to You!

Not that most of us are doing much in the way of harvesting, but, well, you know.... happy fall and all.  It's fun.  It's cute.  AND... when it is accompanied by an adorable zig zag pumpkin, well then!  Cuteness always wins!  YAY!

Zig Zag Harvest Pumpkin

I created this card with the super cute stamps from the pumpkins2cut set from The Stamps of Life along with the awesome coordinating Pumpkin Dies 1 set of dies.  LOVE THEM!  My favorite part?  The stem!!!  I cut it from a bit of kraft woodgrain cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and I just LOVE how cute it looks!

That pumpkin just makes me happy.  It's short and plump and kind of super duper adorable.  For reals, though.  *sigh*

I Haven't Forgotten About Fall

I promise. I know with the couple of holiday card posts I put up recently you may be concerned, so I just wanted to put your mind at ease. I know likely it is that you spend your nights kept awake by the goings on at Just Jingle. HA! No, but for reals, though... I haven't forgotten about Fall. I love the fall and I do enjoy making fun cards and other projects for both fall in general, and for Halloween, too! Today I have a pretty fall card I created using another great new stamp set from Stampendous!

Thinking of You

Aren't those giant leaves just AWESOME?! I so love them! They are from the Cling Jumbo Leaves set and I totally think they are extra great due to their size, dude. For reals. Also, did you know that Stampendous! Jumbos now come with a free template in them? That awesome solid maple leaf was done by simply inking the template! LOVE. THAT. Totally. I also used some gorgeous ink colors from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko for this one. A bit of Golden Glitz Delicata along with a few great Momentos made it easy to create a beautiful fall feel!

Thinking of You (detail)

I added just a few sequins to give it a little sparkle. Sequins make me happy. Even if I do find them all over my house, my person, my dogs, etc. Actually...The Hubbums had one stuck to him the other day. That was fairly amusing, I must say. HA!

I hope you have a super fantastic day, folks!

Have a Happy!

I'm HOOKED on 3M Hooks! {A Fun Contest, Too!}

Recently I was offered the opportunity to try out a few of 3M Command Brand's latest products. I was excited at the opportunity, as we already use 3M Command products in our home and I LOVE how well they work! They sent me a box with several different products in them and I want to share how I used some of those in my studio... and in my home!

First of all, you have seen my cards. While yes, I have a Clean and Simple style, that somehow does not lend to being clean WHILE I work. HA! Nope. Not even a little bit. Due to my amazing ability to make a mess, I often wear an apron while I am creating. I have several that I keep hung in my studio on a couple of awesome 3M Command hooks. They easily hold 3 or so aprons each and they look great, too! I love that I don't have to worry about them falling off the wall, but when we move (we are apartment people...I always have to keep the next move in mind) they will come off cleanly without a trace of damage to the wall. LOVE THAT! For reals, though.

Aprons on 3M Command Hooks

As you can see, I also keep my photo box backdrops hanging on one and somehow my CK Convention thingy (yup...totally the technical term) landed there, too. They can totally handle the weight and I LOVE THAT!!!!

3M Command Hooks

The next place you will find 3M Command hooks in my studio I am super excited about! I just recently put these up with the new hooks that came in the package and I couldn't be happier with this fun way to display my cards! I tied some twine to each hook and now I can easily switch out which cards hang and always have some of my recent favorites on display! I so love that! I think it might be fun to do this with the Clear Window Hooks, too (so they are more subtle) and cover an entire wall with cards displayed this way. You could also totally use this method for photos by simply mounting photos on folded card fronts! LOVE. IT.

Card Display

Isn't that just fun? I totally have the wall vision now. I'm going to have to do it. Oooooh, how I love a great idea!!!!

3M Command Hook Card Display

Okay, so... this last one isn't in my studio, but I HAD to share it because it makes me way happier than any little plastic hook ever should, but, alas, this girl LOVES a quality solution to a problem! The shower. Yup. 3M totally has a new line of bath products and that means that they have developed hooks that can handle the wetness and humidity of the bathroom...even IN the shower itself!

3M Command Hooks in the shower

YAY!!! Prior to this we were using a suction cup style thing to hold up shower essentials. I hated that thing, but it was what was available. Why did I hate it? Oh, you know... because it would randomly come CRASHING DOWN FROM THE WALL somewhere between 2 and 3am. I have no idea why it never fell during an actual shower or even when nobody was home... but it was REALLY good at scaring the crud out of us in the middle of the night. HA! The 3M command hooks can not ONLY be trusted to stay put and not come crashing down, but they look WAY nicer than that did, too. I also feel like they are a cleaner way to store my essentials in the shower. I love that they have brought out this line. Genius, I tell you! GENIUS!

3M Bathroom Hooks

Aren't they just great?! I certainly think so! I also want to share a SUPER FUN contest they Command is currently running! This is perfect for any DIY kind of folks and the prize is totally awesome! It's the Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper Contest! Yup! They are looking for people who can wrap with the best of 'em!

Chin Up, Buttercup!

Hello, Friday!  I'm so happy to see you today!  I hope that you will be a productive and full of energy kind of day!  Let's do this!

AND... just in case you need a tad bit of encouragement to get there... how about a Chin Up, Buttercup sentiment to spread some smiles?  I'm up for it... so... here you go!

Chin Up

Why, yes, I do love this card super tons of lots!  Thanks for asking!  The textures and colors just make me happy.  What can I say?  LOVE IT!  I used that adorable Chin Up sentiment from Mama Elephant's Say What set.   That set is full of fun sentiments and I just LOVE this one!!!  Tons, dude.  For reals.  The cork diamonds are cut with Avery Elle's Rounded Diamonds dies and stamped with accents from the coordinating Rounded Diamonds stamp set.  That set gets a LOT of ink in my studio!  I just love it!  I stamped with Imagine Crafts/Tsukinkeo Momento Luxe ink on both the cork and the textured cardstock.  Love that stuff!

Chin Up (detail)

Mmmm... hello, texture.  I do so love thee!  Don't you just want to touch it?!!!!  I love that.  I'm a little crazy, though, so maybe it's just me.  HA!

I hope you have had a delightful week and I wish you a super extra delightful weekend!

Have a Happy!
