CAS-ual Fridays Hunger Games

It's time for a new CAS-ual Fridays challenge!  This week's theme is Hunger Games!  We want to see you use ARROWS in your project!  I pulled out some super fun Avery Elle dies for my arrow card!



I die cut the arrows from cork and then assembled them on the natural cardstock base.  I love that combination!  It's happy making!



I stamped the sentiment in navy ink and added a few sequins for a bit of glam!  I love the textures, both physical and visual, on this one!  YAY!

On The Runway

I'm just hangin' out on the Runway today.  Or...I'm just playing along with Runway Inspired Challenges because the chances of this 5'5" normal weight figure being a model aren't exactly huge.  Just sayin'.  HA!

This is the inspiration photo.  To be honest, it didn't catch me right away.  Why?  I saw lavender.  I KNOW, it's not a color challenge, I could change it up, but then I was like... well...it IS MINT and lavender.  with a touch of coral and a cute shoe.  Hmmm.... maybe I should attempt to tackle lavender.  I also noticed the pop of color in her handbag and the embossed pattern on her skirt.  A subtle shirt pattern....  yup.  It's all there.  I should make a card.  (Welcome to the squishy parts of my brain where I make stuff.  What you just read is pretty much my inner dialogue.  HA!)



The lines are so straight and linear in the inspiration photo and i kinda love that, so I went with it for my design.  I layered a tone on tone die cut to mimic the texture on the skirt, as well.  LOVE that part!  Just sayin'.



My tip for you today... If you are ever given the opportunity to purchase glitter paper.  DO IT, dudes!  This stuff is shiny and sparkly and FABULOUS!  For reals.  Just sayin'.

Hiya, folks!  It's Wednesday and that means that I get to share the newest Simon Says Stamp Challenge with you today!  It's an ANYTHING GOES week, folks!  (Read:  No Excuse not to link up week.  Just sayin'. *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*)

This week the entire design team is using CraftWork Cards goodies! I had never used these before this challenge, so it was fun to take them out and play a bit!  I pulled out a couple of packs so I could mix and match my colors on my own and came up with this fun, dimensional design!



I particularly love that the CrafWork Card Candi has it's own foam adhesive squares that fit perfectly!  Each one is adhered with a foam square on my card and then I inked the wood sentiment with a Momento Marker and glued it in place atop the circles.  Wicked fun, dude!  For reals!
