Because There is No Minute Quite Like the Last Minute

Yup. I wanted to make a card today. So I did. I saw this great inspiration photo over on the Runway Inspired Challenge blog a couple of weeks ago when it was originally posted and kept thinking...Ohhh, I'll just get to that later... well. It's later. HA! The challenge ends tonight and I really wanted to make something for it, so here it is, folks! Coming in at the very last minute..as is my wont.

LOVE the colors! And I also totally loved the bit of vintage feel combined with the strong, bright pink and modern lines of her outfit. So...with those things in mind, I came up with this cute card using the February Card kit from Simon Says Stamp!

Wanna Hang Out?

I love how the subtle pink flecks in the patterned paper totally POPPED when I added the hot pink embossed dress! SO fun! The gold maintains the sleek, while working with the classic background paper to provide that vintage vibe at the same time.

Wanna Hang Out (detail)

And ... I kinda want that dress now. Can't you just see it? A hot pink bodice with the skirt piped in the same pink and a cream skirt with tan and light brown clouds in interesting patterns? TOTALLY fabulous! Just lose the peplum... my hips SO can't do peplum. Just sayin'. HA!

So...there you have it... my last minute, but totally making it in under the deadline Runway Inspired DSquared2 Challenge card! Woot! Woot!

Now go! Make a card! Do it just for fun!!!! But do it! (You will be glad you did. Trust me on this one. I totally know these things, dude. For reals.)

Have a Happy!

Jingle Out!
