Just a little note to say...

Umm...so, yeah, we totally had our groceries delivered for the first time last night and that is AWESOME! Yes, it cost a little bit more doing it this way, mostly because the store that offers it is higher priced than Wal-Mart, which is where we usually grocery shop. However, here's the thing.

We didn't have to go to Wal-Mart.

Go ahead and TRY to tell me that isn't worth the extra money! HA! No, seriously, though. The quality of the food is excellent - even the produce - and the man who delivered it was so nice! He brought the bags right into the house! I do wish there was a way to avoid the bags, as they have everything packed in plastic bags and we bring our own reusable when we shop ourselves. You can even use coupons! You just give them to the driver and they deduct them from your order! Very cool! If you have it in your area and have been thinking about it, give it a try! I'm not gonna lie...I felt a little lazy and I think it's weird that someone else picked out my bananas. Just say'n.

NOW...onto Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday! We have the ever fabulous Cristina Kowalczyk as the Sketch Artist for this month and they are fantastic sketches! It's going to be a great month!

Just a Note to Say...

This is the card I created for this week's sketch! I used Birdsong Set for this one. I love it!!! To create the Maya Road tag, I first stamped the image in VersaMark and then embossed it with clear UTEE. Then I misted it with Tattered Angels Cinnamon Glimmer Mist and dabbed off the extra with a cloth and this was the result! SUPER FUN!!!! The beautiful ribbon is, of course, May Arts and the ink for the sentiment is Momento Potter's Clay.

This is the sketch that I worked from:
Cristina is the QUEEN of clean and simple and, as you know, I might be trying to make Princess of that same category! HA! I am SERIOUSLY excited about the sketches that we have to work with this month and I promise you it's gonna be great!!!
Just a note to say ... (detail)

I almost forgot! That fabulous little corrugated heart is from Jilliebean Soup and I just added a bit of Colonial White CTMH ink to make it stand out a bit. It was the perfect finishing piece! I love when that happens!

SO...you totally need to head on over to the other designers blogs to check out what they have created! It's good stuff, folks!!! GOOD. STUFF. Would I lie to you? Nope. I wouldn't. And THEN...it's HOMEWORK time! You need to create a card using supplies you have at home and this sketch and link it up over at Skipping Stones for your chance to win some free stamps! The chances are really good, so you should TOTALLY participate!!!

  5. Love your blog! Your posts make me smile. I was thinking about trying this sketch and went to the SSD website to take a look. I couldn't find the answer I was looking for over there, so thought I'd ask you. Do you need to use SSD stamps in the cards, or can we use anything we have. Thanks!

  7. Nice card!

I have my groceries delivered (for free I must add) and I LOVE it! I live on the second floor so it's good to have someone carry all those bags into my appt! And the best part is, when I offer to help, the delivery man always says no :p

  9. This card is so simple and so elegant. I love it...love the way you crinkled the ribbon on.

One of our grocery stores does that service. I have never tried it but now that I know someone else has I might in the future. Wal-mart is getting so crowded...LOL

  12. gorgeous card!
I used to have my groceries delivered in the UK, all the major stores offer the service so it works out cheaper. Wish wal mart would start it, would make life a lot simpler. maybe we should all demand it!
    have a great day, Debxx

  13. Trying to catch up on my posting...so my apologies for being late getting here. :) First - fabulous card!

Second - I LOVE the idea of having groceries delivered. When I was a kid, my mom used to shop at this little mom and pop grocery store. She'd pick out her items, pay for them, and they'd box them up and set them in the big walk in refrigerator at the back. Then, within a few hours, the proprietor would come to the door and deliver the groceries to us, usually carrying one box on each shoulder! Ahhh, the memories.

  14. P.S. (My mom didn't drive or have a car - and dad worked all day....in case that didn't make any sense!)

  19. Pretty card, love that sketch.
As for the groceries, I would love that.
If I don't want to go into the store I send one of my daughters in, lol.
But not to have to leave the house, awesome.

  21. I really like the soft look to this card! I'm a sucker for ANYTHING with birdies! Groceries plus delivery. I LIKE it! If nothing else, it would save me from all the temptations that want to hop in my basket: cheese, infused olive oils, vanilla bean paste ... sigh. Maybe I SHOULD order the groceries.
