I pulled on one of my favorite pairs of jeans this morning. Moved to get them into place, as I usually do and heard that ever so dreadful sound of tearing denim.
Yup. They split. Just say'n.
The Hubbums was there right away to tell me that it wasn't because I was fat and that they are Old Navy jeans, and, well, quite frankly, not the highest quality in the world (but when I pay $15 or less for them, what am I expecting, exactly...hmmm...).
*sigh* But still.
Not a fun way to start your Friday.
I am, however, SOOOO looking forward to the weekend. I am currently working on three dolls, so I hope to finish at least one of them up and put some serious time into the other two, as well.
Oh...and I may be off to Old Navy to replace my jeans. They are, afterall, one of my favorites. Just say'n.
Have a great Friday!
uh oh! return those babies! have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteGee..just a few days ago I was sending congrats on your anniversary and today I'm sending my sympathy for the "split" LOL...hee-heee
ReplyDeleteHAVVE A BEAUTIFUL day and can't wait to see your dolls!
Ohh My...you always make me laugh and smile. I do believe that the saying goes here "You sometimes get what you pay for" hehe BUT at that price I would go back and get another pair. ^_^
ReplyDeleteSweetie...you are very blessed to have a hubbikins that is so intuned to you. Of course..he is blessed to have you too.
Hugs,
Regi
You poor thing! I so do not like the sound of ripping denim! Maybe they will exchange them?? Worth a try!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your favorite jeans....I hate to replace them...sometimes even the same style just doesn't fit like the one before. Your hubby sounds so sweet...mine would have teased me about it!
ReplyDeletesorry to hear about your fav jeans!
ReplyDeletetime for a new pair of favorites. Stinks that just when you really get them worn in as you want, that they split! Hope you find a good pair!
ReplyDeleteI totally feel for you! I hate letting go of a FAV pair of jeans! Maybe you can comisserate with a trip to cheesecake factory (that will show hubbums?LOL!
ReplyDeleteI've had my favorite jeans split too but only after I wore them for 10 years! I really hated to throw them away!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your mishap, teehee.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I have never had that happen to me.
Looking forward to seeing your next creations.
Sorry, but I had to laugh, too! Hope you soon find some new ones!
ReplyDeleteThat is the saddest sound, isn' it?
ReplyDeleteDon't take it too hard. I've heard from SEVERAL friends lately, that the quality of the clothing they got at ON has been for shit!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so sure you are not FAT!!! but i had to lay on my bed this morning to zip up my favorite jeans...they were tight ...yikes I need to slow down on the carbs. I just cannot rationalize buying very expensive jeans...I would rather have art supplies! Peace and have a great weekend! Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
ReplyDeleteI am way beyond jean wear days. I am on to the stretch knit with elastic bands TEEEEE I like to feel that I am in my jamies all day long
ReplyDeleteoh girlie, i hope they weren't one of your fave pairs! i hate when you have to part with a fave, and can't find an adequate replacement! but for $15, i kinda think your hubbin' right. ;) just sayin'! (ha ha ha ha ha - couldn't resist)
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see the new dolls! you are ON FIRE!
I split my favorite skirt. :( And they don't make the type any more. It made me rather sad. It was my favorite "action" skirt! Hope we can both find good replacements. Theresa
