Well, I did finally get around to visiting my local Big Lots yesterday. I know...fancy shopping, eh? HA! Well, the thing of it is, they often have supplies for great prices and I picked up a few little things that I'm super excited about including some GREAT grey yarn that will be PERFECT for hair for my dolls, some Basic Grey stickers and embellishments (they had paper and stamps, too, but I decided not to get them), and a couple of Creative Imaginaations embellishments, too. I was excited! All for about $5. YAY!
Oh...and I dyed my hair blue.
Yes. For reals.
No. Not all of it.
We just put in some streaks. I. LOVE. IT. For reals, you guys, I can't even tell you!!!! NO. Really. Love it. Photos will come sometime when it isn't 5 something in the morning. Just Say'n.
Blue.
In my hair. For reals. SO EXCITED!!!!!
So, yeah. Well, here is the card I wanted to share with you today. I pulled my inspiration from the Moxie Fab Metallics Color Challenge. The colors are Gold Leaf Metallic, Satin Wedding White, and Pinkini (Bazzill names).
And here is my card using those gorgeous colors! I love the softness of it. I just wish you could see the shimmer really well, because it is STUNNING in real life. That paper is a shimmer, giving a true gold and satin look. Beautiful.
The stamp is a tiny little sneak peek of a soon-to-be-released Skipping Stones Design set. I love it! The perfect font for this card! Stamped in Clearsnap gold ink. The ribbon is Close To My Heart and the brad is from Making Memories. That adorable tiny tag is Jolee's By You (EK Success).
So, it is a shimmery happy Valentine! And a simple one, at that, but you know...sometimes I think you gotta let the paper shine! I mean, really, if it is already willing to do the work, let's let it do it. Just Say'n!
I hope you have a fabulous Monday! I hope some of you get to spend the day off due to the holiday today. The Hubbums' gets to stay home, but, alas, I am off to work. At least it will be somewhat interesting as I'm showing up with blue hair! HA! Have a super fabulous day!!!
