This is my desk right now. Crazy, I know! And this is ALL stuff I use regularly! Hence it being ON my desk and all. I'm less concerned about this, though, because at least I know that everything on here HAS a home and if I just start the process I can get that cleaned up fairly quickly...it's the rest of the room that is still a problem! HA!
Do you see my new clay tools on there, though? I'm wicked excited about those! BETTER sculpting from JINGLE on the way! I will certainly use them for polymer clay stuff, but I think I can really use them for detail stuff on paper clay, too! YAY!!!
Also, sitting there casually upon my desktop, you see the FABULOUS stamps that I am giving away in yesterday's post!!!! YAY! If you haven't checked that out yet, click here if you want to enter!
So...my goal is to have this desk cleaned off before next Wednesday. I'm not promising a clean one on Wednesday, as I might use it after I clean it...HA! But, at least it needs an overhaul before I do that. I will work on the room, too, but the desk needs to happen first. Then the room. Then happy Jingle. Just say'n.
I hope you have a FABULOUS Wednesday! For more What's On Your Workspace posts check out The Stamping Ground!
What's wrong with your desk? Am sure it looks like any other desk where an artist works. You would love to think your desk and room would be neat, but if it is, I am sure you won't be creating. :-) That is my excuse and I am sticking too it!
ReplyDelete~atleast you have a desk!!! my area is the kitchen table and the small space in our entry way...kind of makes it hard for people to use the front door when i have been creating away...hehehe...heres to wishing you some determination on organizinga bit...you know as soon as you pack stuff up and haul to the basement you will be yearning for that one specific thing that has been packed away...good luck my dear friend!!! much love light and blessings be with you~
ReplyDeleteLooks like a big bunch of fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou need a side table or a couple big bins or perhaps an addition, already!? :) Can't wait to see what you sculpt!
ReplyDeleteIf I dared to take a pic of my mess you would know how tidy your desk is!!
ReplyDeletehaha...I see that fabbie paper from yesterday's SSD card...love that stuff....it looks like my work space...sigh.
ReplyDeleteMESS? Where? All I see is a lot of fun-in-progress and creativity-waiting-to-happen! When I moved to this house with it's HUGE craft room, my Virgo self was thrilled 'cause I just KNEW everything would ALWAYS be in its place! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! It's MORE like everything is always all OVER the place. But you know WHAT, Jen? It makes me HAPPY, all this creative disarray. Tells me I'm alive & creating! So PLAY, sweet girl! And OH, how I DO love those coffee stamps. What's NOT to love about my #1 food group: COFFEE? BIG HUGS TO YOU, lil' Partner!
ReplyDeleteHA...like I've said before...a messy desk means a happy artist. ^_^
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Regi
Oh dear. If THAT'S a holy mess, you don't want to see the hell in my work area.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that tackle:-)
ReplyDeleteI forget what I have and need some serious help also! Not sure how to organize to actually be able to locate all that I have! Maybe I will turn our 4 bedroom house into a 3!!! Happy Days!
ReplyDeleteI just want to come over and organize your goodies for you. Looks like some FUN items.
ReplyDeletethat is how my desk looks after a project. It always feels so good to put everyone back in their home ready for the next project.
ReplyDeleteIt seems quite a lot of us are struggling with messy desks (and rooms) right now. Oh well, the year is still young...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your play space. Look at all of that yumminess!! (And don't worry. I had to dig out my keyboard to type this.)
ReplyDeleteI'm in the process of cleaning my whole entire studio! I figured the people at that hoarders show heard what a mess it was and was probably wanting to do a show on it... so I decided to clean it :-)I've got the thrift store people coming tomorrow to pick up my extra stuff! (I've been known to pull stuff out of that pile lol) Good luck to you on cleaning!
ReplyDeleteDon't refer to it as a mess - think of it as I like to call it "organized chaos!" ;) Theresa
ReplyDeleteright there with you with my messy scrap area.....but I love having everything out where I can see it easily! Good luck getting yours organized...I've tried to organize mine and it just ends up looking the same again!
ReplyDeletesorry, i just snuck to put my name in the hat for the stamps, but i'm here now lol
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your clear up/sort out x and if i've not already wishing you a happy new year x

I don't see anything wrong with your desk, teehee. I lose my big red ATG on my desk. Now when that happens then you have a problem. Did I just admit I have a problem?
ReplyDeleteYou don't need help Jingle. You need therapy. I know cus I do too. We should go together and get a group discount.
ReplyDeleteClay tools...looking forward to seeing what you create.

Maybe we could start a support group. I think I might need some serious help cleaning out my stuff too.
ReplyDeleteTertia 122
mine gets that way some times too, took me two days to clean it last week. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour desk is not messy it is just crafty and creative! Whatever you are doing, it is working for you because you make truly amazing projects!
ReplyDeletexoxo Karen
Haha, I'm a bit of a craft hoarder so no help here..lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek and sharing. Hugs, Marjo #23 Happy WOYWW
Creative messiness is great! Pick it up once in a while and motor on. #95
ReplyDeleteWow, you have your work cut out for you if this is your "easy to pick up" part of the room. I know by now it's probably in much better shape and you're already crafting and creating. Happy WOYWW on Friday from #16.
ReplyDeletejust this minute, my desk looks somewhat like yours. but i'm about to do some tidying up because there is no more space to work on comfortably.
ReplyDeleteYour desk is quite neat compared to mine. I really have to get into my scraproom and do a major decluttering/reorginizing. By the way...cute stamps!!
