I actually haven't pulled out my paper clay since we moved and last night all of the sudden I just HAD to sculpt! I pulled out some wire, formed a simple armature and she just danced her way right on out of the clay in my hands! I can't wait to continue working on her...I don't know quite who she is yet or where she came from, but she will tell me! She has already begun to share her secrets!
And this is my other project that I've put off WAY too long...Christmas cards! I need to make them!!!! I have to have the cards for the family done by Sunday and I haven't even begun them yet! I do have this fun Echo Park paper ready to go, though, and LOTS of great holiday stamps to play with, so I will get on those this week...hopefully! Just say'n.
So, that's what's on my workspace on this fine FREEZING cold Wednesday! Oh, and it's OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY day, so that should be fun!

~oh i can't wait to see who this wee little one is and what she has to offer...fascinating!!! i have never done such and you have sparked my imagination once more!!! as for your holiday cards...i love the paper you have chosen...i wish you well as you create away and get these all complete...sometimes i think i need to strat all holiday crafting the very next day it is over...as the time always seems to go flying by trying to get all finished for the big day!!! happy creative days and warm wishes always upon you~
ReplyDeleteLooking very interesting!! I'm so happy that I'm not the only one that has a muse whispering..^_^
ReplyDeleteWOW...you have some wonderful items to make cards with. Some family members are going to be very surprised...your cards alone are an awesome gift.
My work place has been all over the place this week...LOL Since I have been sewing those 18 tiny reindeer then I moved everything to the den so I could still be with DH and the Chazman. Today is putting on my special magically snow to them. HEY...how else will they fly.
Hugs,
Regi
So you hear voices?? Give me two eyes, not one like you are thinking! She will be adorable!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck completing your Christmas cards! I finally filled mine out last night. I would have loved to have made cards! You'll have to post pictures of your work! ~Val

ReplyDeleteHow exciting!!! I cant wait to find out more about her also. Dont you just love it when you get those uncontrollable urges to create... one of the best things in the world! And I loooove what you have going on all over the rest of your work space... Christmas paper makes me smile :)

ReplyDeleteOh - a DOLLY!!! Can't wait to see what she ends up being. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been around. Trying to catch up now. My daughter was stranded on a highway in a blizzard for over 30 hours (along with about 500 other people)...so life has been gruelling and stressful the past few days, to say the least. She's home safe and sound now, though!
Your clay figuring is fascinating. I look forward to seeing who she becomes.

I can't wait to see your doll all finished. I have some paper clay but I'm uncertain as to how to go about it. :) Definitely going to give it a try next year. Theresa
