If you have been around for awhile you know that we like to take A Thousand Words Thursday to the nest level around here! If you are new, WELCOME, and take a look!
Each Thursday I post a photo, often of something fabulously vintage, but sometimes not, and I encourage my readers to let the photograph carry them away. Really SEE the photo and the story that lies behind it. That is, afterall, what photographs are for, is it not? A way to tell a story visually. Today, I would like you to take a look at this photograph of beautiful colored glass pieces. Each one may have its own story, or perhaps they have been together for a long time. The choice is yours! Maybe the bottles are not the story themselves, but, rather belong to someone with stories to tell. Whatever it is that seeps into your mind...WRITE it down! It may be a short poem, it may be a few lines or paragraphs, it may be pages and pages....but it is your story and you should write it. As adults we forget to participate in this beautiful art form altogher too often, so every Thursday, I encourage you to WRITE! Tell that story!

Well this is a fun post. I loved your glass....I have to be honest, when I first looked at the photo, thoughts of my grandmothers niece and nephew came to mind...don't ask me why...I have no idea. We used to go to their house around tax time, she always did my parents taxes....and I remember I hated it, it was so boring, they had no kids and their house was not kid friendly....I am thinking they must have had glassware like this to spark a memory....loved your post..

I love old glass! I went thru a period where I collected green glass and blue glass.......the search is fun!

This photo takes me away to a cozy cabin in the mountains where there is a gorgeous view of snowy landscape outside and a cozy fire in the stoned fireplace. I envision Thanksgiving tablescape with these pieces all adorning the table ready for our dinner to commence. I also envision these pieces being mine to match all my lovely amber collection that I use for Thanksgiving. Hee Hee! Please stop by and visit and browse for a while.
