Hello, Beautiful!

Yup. You! Hi! Today I have a super fun card that I created using some goodies from the BRAND NEW This is the Life release from Simon Says Stamp! If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to head over! This is one AMAZING release!

When I saw this Adult Beverages stamp set and the coordinating dies to go with it, I was instantly IN LOVE! There is also a SUPER cute sentiment set that goes with them and that is on it's way to me, however, I went with a a pretty one from the Summer Garden set for my card today.

Hello, Beautiful

I used the martini glass die to create a shaker martini! Read that carefully, a shaker. martini. Not a martini shaker. That's a different thing altogether. Although, the man in the suit does prefer shaken, not stirred. (Actually, he prefers the Vesper, which, by the way, is remarkably difficult to find on a menu and even harder to find a bar tender who knows how to make it right, but if you do, they are DELICIOUS! For reals. Good stuff.) Anyway... I filled my shaker with glitter and sequins. Those two things seem to compliment martinis well. HA! I used the straw die to create a shelf from wood grain cardstock and then I colored the cardstock with a black Wink of Stella to give it some shimmer and sparkle! YAY! Love that!

Hello, Beautiful (detail)

I used clear foam tape to adhere the shelf, as the narrow nature of it made white foam visible, so this is more subtle. For the olive, I stamped and die cut the olive and the toothpick and then slit the olive to slide the pick through it for 'proper' presentation. I mean, why do things the easy way? HA!

Seriously, though, this is an AWESOME release! You really should check it out! Also, if you order through my links you will be helping me out, too! YAY! You can find links to all of the products I used in my card below! Happy shopping!

Have a Happy!

  1. Love that card! Right down to the olive on the sword skewer. This collection is like OMG my childhood (1960s Florida the grownups had drinks with olives on swords... I just got the swords when they were done lol). And the station wagon, I sat in the very very back seat facing the traffic behind us... awkward and awesome at the same time.

Any way, I also stopped by to say thanks for the dinosaur inspiration a few weeks ago. I took it and carved a monster stamp and have been having way too much fun with it. Stop by if you have a minute.
