A Bit of Vertigo?

Vertigo FILM, that is!  Vertigo Film is the newest product from IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® and it is WICKED cool stuff, you guys!  Like...for reals, dude.  I pulled out my IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® StazOn® Solvent Inks and some IMAGINE Crafts® GlazOn™ Layer Protectant to create a super fun bookmark using Vertigo.  I absolutely LOVE this stuff!  It reminded me of those cool psychedelic bookmarks we used to get at book fairs when we were little...remember those?  Anyway...I couldn't get that out of my head, so I made my own!

Isn't that FUN?!  For reals, dude.  I love it!  SO FUN!  To create it I simply began by cutting a strip of the Vertigo Film with my paper trimmer.

I then used IMAGINE Crafts® InkBlushers™ to apply the StazOn® in Dandelion to the bookmark in random places.

Vertigo Bookmark Step 2

Once satisfied with the application of the first color, I added a thin coat of GlazOn™ before moving on to the Dove Gray.  I then added another layer of GlazOn™ before adding the final color, Teal Blue.

After adding all three colors and glazing each layer, I used a pencil eraser to stamp IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Delicata™ Pigment Ink dots all over the bookmark.  I then sealed it with a spray on sealant.

Finally, I ran the bookmark through my die cut machine with the Gun Metal embossing folder from Crafter's Companion and added a a Kelly Purkey die cut and Studio Calico star to embellish.  A bit of May Arts ribbon at the top finishes it off!

This was a super fun and kind of different project for me!  I had a ton of fun with it!  I hope you have enjoyed it, as well!  You can find most of the products I used in the links below!

Have a Happy!
