See! I told you! It just takes a bit of working to get it on there in a way that doesn't seem like it is sticking way out. So, for this card I started with some heavy Bristol as my base, as I knew it would support something a bit heartier. I layered American Crafts papers for the background (Campy Trails Collection). I stamped the fabulous frame from Samantha Walker's Ornate Artisan Stacker set and embossed it with Vintage Verdigris embossing powder. I love how that turned out! What a fun powder to use for a frame look!

I stamped the sentiment on the same panel, cut out the center of the frame and then mounted it with double layered foam adhesive to lift it up a bit from the card base. I attached the bottle, after adding a bit of lace inside, of course, to the center with glue dots and then added the bow!

Ummmm....I kinda love it. It feels a bit like a grandma's wall or something fabulously cool like that. This was a really fun card to create and I enjoyed experimenting a bit! AND...ummm...yeah, that's all. Try something new. It's fun! I promise! Just say'n.
I am linking up to the following challenges:
Friends with Flair Friday (of course!) at Unity
CASE Study Signature Style (clean and simple anyone? LOL!)
Woodware Try a New Technique Challenge (I have never added a glass bottle to a card!)
So, go ahead and leave a comment to let me know what you think! In the meantime, I am going to decide if I really need to get anything to prep for Irene or if we are pretty much set. I'm leaning toward the latter, but it's good to consider. It should be an interesting weekend, if nothing else! Happy FRIDAY!!!
OH! Please remember to VOTE for me today! You can vote once a day!!!! Thanks SO MUCH for all of your help!!!
