So Very Many Wonderful Things Going On...Art Dolls, Altered Goodness, Mixed Media Madness!!!!

*sigh*

I do so love a wonderfully creative stretch and it seems that I am enjoying one of those right now.

I would love to show off all of the wonderful things I've created, but, you see, there is a ITTY BITTY problem with that.

Itty Bitty.

Ummmm....none of them are actually done.

Hmmm....

Yeah.....so here's the thing. I have had SO many ideas and I just keep starting each of them and then I have to start another one and another one
and another one
and another one
and another one
and another one
and....

....okay. I think you probably get it now.

Right? Right.

BUT! Just LOOK at it all! There are at least four projects that I can see visible in that particular photo above. FOUR! All going well!!!! LOVE THAT!

I just hope they all end well! HA!

I've got ATC's going, a SUPER FABULOUS cloth and clay doll (well, she's just cloth right now, but she will have clay later...I promise! ;-)), another doll (on a bottle, no less!), and an altered shoe! FUN STUFF! I am also tossing around ideas for a couple more cloth and clay style dolls and I have been itching to do a mixed media canvas, so that should come soon, along with a fairy in a jar project I've had swimming around in my head for awhile! I can't wait!!! It's so much fun to MAKE STUFF!

And...it can take my mind off the fact that our cars were vandalized over the weekend and I am SO NOT HAPPY about that little incident! Mine is actually not damaged, it was just messed with, buy my husband will be driving down to the Mini dealership today to replace his right windshield wiper (the actual part that connects to the car...not just the blade) because they smashed that to bits and we found parts several yards away. Yay. AND...there was a screwdriver under his hood that indicated that they tried to get in there, but failed. SERIOUSLY??? Anyway. I'm just glad it wasn't worse. I am so sick of the burbs. I'm ready to move into the city. At least there nobody pretends that this stuff doesn't happen.

So, what does YOUR workspace look like right now? Any SUPER FUN projects on your creative agenda? Am I the only person with a million of them going at once? HA!

  1. That sucks about your cars.
I love that red shoe. Did you paint it then add the red glitter.
I can't show you my desk as I probably can't get to it. I have stuff all over the floor too. I take over when I do a project. LOL.

  2. Ohhh the shoe is great! ATCs YAY. so much creativeness, so little time. That stinks about your car Jingle

My workspace is pretty empty because I went to an overnight crop on Friday night and haven't unpacked yet

  3. Are you serious? That's awful! Why on earth would people do that to your cars?

I'm moving, so my workplace right now is a half-packed box of threads and canvas and a big stitching project spread on my bed.

  4. I love this! I wish I had a workspace, but all of my stuff is portable at the moment. The ATC's look fab already! Love all of the creative juices that are spilled over the desk!!!

  5. Holy schmoly - Reeeally? Oh my, I am so sorry about the cars! I don't like people who make evil choices like that.

May karma sharpen her teeth before she bites them in the buttocks.

I LOVE that you shared your workspace. In the midst of hurridly trying to create several last-minute cards this weekend, my space is a MESS. Today I have intentions to clean it, but think I'll take a picture first so I can share it like you did with yours!

    YAY for creative messiness!!

  7. oh so not cool about your cars - especially the Mini AARRGGH - who would dare do that to a Mini.!!! sob!!!

  8. Sorry to hear about your cars. That's awful.

  9. LOVE your messy table and all the cool stuff going on there.
HATE what happened in the neighborhood with the cars. So sorry! We, here in the Georgia country had a bomb scare at my daughter's middle school. Turns out it was 3 kids FROM her school...still rattled this mama's nerves...

  10. Sorry to hear about the jerks messing with your cars!! The nerve of some people! I am so gonna show my hubby your work space! Maybe he will get off my back about mine, jajajaja *hugs from conroe, tx!

  11. I hate it when I am in the start and stop mode. And it totally blows about your car!! Hopefully, your insurance will cover it.

  12. Jingle, I am sorry to hear about your cars. We had someone break into our car once, but we learned a very valuable lesson. DO NOT leave your garage door opener in your car if you park it in the drive way or the street. Thankfully my hubby was awake when he heard the garage door open...

As for the work desk, awesome! I actually am in the process of taking over a corner of the living room for my paper crafting. It is quite and I can hang out with hubby and daughter while I craft without disturbing them (like I would if I brought the sewing machine in here). So, my entire house looks like your desk right now while I try to organize my areas :)

  13. oh man girl! so sorry to hear about y'alls cars! I remember when my car gotten broken into how violated it makes you feel! :(
Love that you have so many projects going though! I have a few going but the mess on my desk keeps covering them up so they may never get done.

  14. That's so rotten about your cars. It happens in town here, and in Dublin, but not really when you live in the mountains...I think the state of your work table says it all really- you are obviously in ultra-mega-creative mode! The only trouble I find with having several projects on the go at once is when one topples into another and I end up with the wrong things all glued together and usually covered in glitter as well!
    Just a cautionary tale!!!!

  15. Why do people do crap like that? So sorry to hear about the cars!

Love the creative binge you are on.... you could show unfinished stuff too.... if you want.... I think it is ok if some NEVER gets done. Over at our house we are all about process and not outcome... could never keep all of the stuff we make (ok so most isn't nearly as cute as yours but I think you get my drift!!

Today I need to clean up about a dozen in progress projects so to answer your question... YES I have a millin things going on at once too and my space is a mess!!

  17. I am going to show my DH your pics and tell him, "See? I'm not the only one." My problem is that the whole room looks like that. To get to my craft table is like walking across a mine field.:-P

I love that shoe, too. Can't wait for you to share your finished projects. You are so creative!

Sorry about the vandalism. I'm glad it wasn't worse that it already was. It's still a bummer none the less.

  19. I hear you about unfinished projects!!! I have a bunch to do for Artist Class. Did finish one project, which will be featured in an upcoming post on my blog. :)
So very sorry to hear about the vandalism to your cars. That's terrible. :( Hopefully, it won't cost a lot for your husband to get his car repaired.

  32. Sorry to hear about the cars ..m I find it hard to believe that they get a buzz out of vandalism.

Now to more cheerful topics ...loved your blog ... I could feel your enthusiasm oozing out of every word. Your desk and your mind is so busy. I sort of understand how you feel ...most of the things I want to do, however, stay in my head and move about like dogems ...problem is that it stops me working on the actual project in hand as my thoughts stray to projects I might do ...one day.

  33. very messy and fabulously untidy with loads going on! there's even a dolly with a bottle for legs... (Lyn)

  38. It's really sad about your cars. Luckily, yours wasn't hurt as much as your husband's.

You sure have a lot going on your desk. I liked the ATCs. The colors were beautiful. I'm sure you find everything you need, but it looks rather like a bit of jumble to me. But that's what so much fun, when we can snoop and really learn how and where others create the magic.

Sorry I'm so late getting here. Hope you had a lovely WOYWW.

  39. Totally fun area. You have a lot going on.. Love the shoe!!
